Terms of service, is it required?

Hello lovely sythe members and helpful staff,

I am here once again(Sorry for all the questions) to ask weather I have to add a terms of service on my middleman thread.

I see a lot of people have TOS's like
"1. I am able to decline any trade I choose not to take part in.
2. I'm not responsible for any bans/mutes/recoveries after my job is done as the middleman and during the trade."

Which is pretty common sense. So I checked everyone's threads out and they all have Tos's. I was wondering If I do not have Tos, in an event something goes wrong in a MM trade such as a runescape ban after verifying an account, would I be held liable for that?

Also, is it required that I get people to fill out a form and post such as other MM threads.

You really should. At least add that you are not responsible for any chargebacks/recoveries/bans as people might blame you for it. If you had them to agree to that you are not responsible for it, they can't blame or report you.

 

Yea if someone is planning to bot one of my skilling requests and the account gets banned, you can be sure I won't pay them a dime. It's not mandatory to have a terms of service but it's better to have one than not.

 

1. It takes a few minutes to make a ToS, just do it.
2. Not sure about the new rush of middlemen, but originally the form was used to google Skype IDs and report them as ban evaders if they were.
