eSports in the future?

I was thinking about this today, And I wanted to find out some opinions. Where do you think eSports Is headed? Are games like 'League of legends' One-off hits or will there be more and more competitive and professional gaming in the future? And the Million dollar question, if eSports does continue to grow in popularity what will be/What would you like to see as the next big eSports title?

 

I think developers see the potential and are starting to make games with esports in mind.

 

Exactly, I think all developers are trying to figure out this. After the Call of Duty franchise became so popular with the competitiveness and dominated the "war" category of gaming, developers are trying to find there own category to dominate.

 

Eventually I'm sure you'll see some sort of live streaming of competitions for online games and as that grows you may eventually see it hit TV screens.

As for right now they're not big enough but they're surely grow.

 

Pretty sure the LoL championchips or equivalent is widely livestreamed and in some cases a full time career already

Gaming is growing exponentially as is all technology and online activity.

Honestly I think the best game to watch in a competitive manner is Super Smash Bro's Melee, Followed by Project M.

E-Sports is certainly going to continue to grow and more and more games will come out, it's more so determining what will separate them from the "average" games and seeing which will dominate the scene.

As somebody that made money from gaming in the past, I wish it was as big as it is now when I played "professionally", Would of made my life a lot easier back in the day haha.

I can't wait to see where it ends up taking us. I'm starting to take up "pro" gaming again, as now it's more than a hobby, it's quite literally a profession which is a dream opportunity for a lot of people like my self.

Pokemon Yellow and Sonic 2 I play. Not tried much else.

 

eSports will be huge I think. I read somewhere about somebody predicting it to be an Olympic 'sport' within 20 years or something.

I don't think it'll ever get that big personally, but, it could well take off massively, and I'd love it if it did!
