Temp Bans and Dispute an Infraction forum

I don't really like it but let's see how this plays.

 

SERIOUSLY,i make mistakes and i dont even know why i get infracted but 3 days without sythe for me is hell im going to get a 3 day ban =( i just dont know thers infractions for everything.

ps.i hope this message isnt a infraction. 0_o

Some of my infractions i've recieved in the past were not warranted and therefore reversed.
Now if a moderator fucks up we have to deal with it?

I hope you sent the mods through a crash course on what to infract and what not.

I have a feeling every mod is going to post me too, etc... I'm sure every staff member is willing to reverse any incorrect infractions over MSN, as long as they are genuinely wrong, and not something that you think isn't infraction worthy.

Everyone, stop hating on the idea. The mods aren't stupid enough to not recognize a person who is intentionally spamming to build up and scam. It's obvious when a user does that. However, there are times when legit users make mistakes and post something that interferes with the flow of a forum conversation.

The shortened length is for THOSE people, not for the people who are obviously just spamming to build post count to earn trust with leechers so they may scam. The people who do that are more severely punished, and are usually marked with a TWC or something similar.

And even if you do receive an infraction by mistake, the chances of you receiving 5 when you're not doing something wrong is very low. If you receive a ban, you more than likely deserved it.

This could go well though, Mods could still have an opinion on their ban, and change the length when needed.

That is a lot of spamming before any action is taken.

I do not support the changing of the system.

I have yet to receive a single infraction because I am not obsessive over my post count. It is not difficult to do and I feel it is ridiculous to give a lighter punishment to those that break the rules.

3 Days??? Give me a break. How many people do you think will actually take the time to THINK about why they were banned if it only is going to last 3 days!

7:7 is a 1:1 ratio and is WAY too lenient. Hypothetically that is one strike per day in a SINGLE week! If a person even accumulates 7 infractions they need to take a step back and look at all the useless crap they are posting and read the rules.


This however I support greatly:

The users on Sythe need to take more responsibility in their postings. Simple as that. You cannot let people run rampant, posting useless clutter and only make them stay away for 3 days. This is simply not a sufficient amount of time for idiots who post useless garbage to understand why they are banned.

As you can see, I do not like spam or spammers which is the number one reason I do not support a lighter sentence on them.

Amen to that. Could you share what those punishments are? Or are we simply just leaving everything as a "longer" period of time?

I do not particularly have strong opinions on this matter, however would like to say that perhaps it may be better to have the section "Just In Case" in order to have everything regarding infractions all in one place.

In conclusion, I do not like spammers and feel as though it is pathetic to cater to them. Please ban them for a year.

I've seen people post 30 times in a single day, most of it spam. If people reported each post that was counted as spam, the 5 infractions would be easy to get. I like this new infraction system.

Getting 5 infractions in a month is really not that hard. Especially for people used to not having such strict mods as Sythe has

If you guys really want to suggest changes that might be noticed, the Suggestion forum is a good bet. Tbh.

 

Sounds good, But just a suggestion if some one gets an infraction for the same thing 3x in a row maybe it should be a 10 day temb ban? As now people are going to think "O well Its just 3 days".?.?.?
