Similarities between now and demise of rsc.

Does anyone else think rs2 feels like rsc when autoing went out of control and rs2 came out?

Thousands of people are Autoing and jagex doesn’t seem to be doing a real lot about it. To me it feels like rsc. That led to the introduction of rs2. does anyone think something simular is going to happen now?

Has rsc and rs2 been around for the same time period? Is it part of a big jagex plan?

Anyone else have any simular/opposing thoughts?

 

No. They may not seem to do much about the bots, but they're trying to find small ways to stop botting, little by litte. They wouldn't have done these last major updates if it were to be close to its demise.

 

then again, they did the exact same thing back in rsc. alot of people got banned and jagex put out some half assed updates to stop botters but they never realy worked.

i think if they wanted to they could eliminate botting, but for some reason dont.

 

It feels like Jagex is allowing long term members to slide by botting. This allows them to be guaranteed a paying member and also, if botting were completely stopped somehow I feel like the economy would hurt and Jagex knows it. Idk if what im saying makes no sense, but its just my two cents

yeah that makes alot of sense, im sure that's the reason why jagex is holding back their mighty ban hammer.

i was thinking jagex could work on preventing autoing through updates. change the interface a little, new/more randoms, differnt banking. ie making it so bots wont run, rather than banning players.

 

well bots do alot of resources so the ecomomy will be thrown off
