    Dual Booting...

Hiya, I have a Dell desktop with Vista on one 60GB partition and XP on an 85GB partition. I saw something on the internet, a picture of a guy running Vista and had XP running in a window on the same computer. I was wondering if I could do this and if so, how.

Meh, Microsft Sidewinder X6 keyboard ftfw.

You would have to reinstall it regardless of which you use. It's not that hard to find a cracked vmware just look around

Hmm.. I was under the impression that you could take an image of the drive/partition and boot off that.

You take the iso image of the os and install it to vmware. You can't take your existing partition of xp or vista and just move it so it's in vmware.

You can treat another partition with an OS on it as an image in VMware, I've done it before.

Get a copy of VMware and try to run Windows XP in it when on Vista.

Also install a virtual desktop program so you can your emulated XP on one workspace and Vista on the other.

If you ever format your computer, put Vista and XP on smaller partitions and have one big data partition for movies etc.
