What is the Tecnical Core team?​

The task of the technical core team is to run, mantain and write code for different community projects that will attract new users. The SytheRSPS project is currently looking for volunteers that are willing to put in the time and effort to make something great for the community.

Sythe RSPS?​

The SytheRSPS is a Runescape private server that is aimed to launch later this year. Our goal is to make a Runescape private server made by the community for the community.

There are no specific requirements to join the project, but the following is preferred:

• Trusted member of Sythe
• Be active on the Sythe discord

Do you meet any of requirements listed above?
Answer: All besides the fact that I don't have experience working on RSPS. Also, I don't know what your criteria is for considering someone trusted.

How often are you on Sythe each week?
Answer: Lurking around off and on everyday for approximately 3 hours or so.

Why do you want to join the team?
Answer: I like programming and am always keen on learning and working on new technologies/projects. I'd also like to be able to help improve and give back to this community in any way I can.

What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?
Answer: 1. I know C, C++ and Java but, I've had most experience with Java having used it in most of my projects.
2. Database languages: MySQL and currently enrolled in a course learning MongoDB.

What have you done to improve the community?
Answer: Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity to actively participate in improving the community. Now that this opportunity has presented itself, I'd love to be able to help out.

Answer: 1. Android App during an internship (Java and SQLite)
2. Hybrid App | Live Project - Team leader (Backend - Java and MySQL)
3. Video Analysis software (I'd rather discuss more about this privately)

Answer: I have recently completed by B.Tech in computer science and engineering.
I find programming fascinating because no 2 projects are the same and I personally like the challenge of learning and applying new technologies/programming languages in various projects.
I would love an opportunity to contribute to the community that I like to hang around.

Is there opportunity to work on something besides the RSPS?

 

You’d need to have a talk with Richard if you want to work on a different project for sythe.

 

I'd imagine the community doesn't want much other than a rsps. We had csgo and gmod servers I think and they didn't really work out.

 

Not really talking about other servers, just projects for Sythe.

Do you meet any of requirements listed above?

Yes. I have a technical background with leadership experience. I've led software development cycles for major projects (so far I've worked with a 50K+ budget, but I'm pretty entry-level in terms of management). I don't have a TON of Java experience, but since it's just RSPS development work, I imagine that it won't be too challenging. I'd prefer to help with small implementations and debugging, but it obviously depends on the scope of the work.

How often are you on Sythe each week?

Pretty much every day, but I don't post too much. I recently game back to Sythe after a multi-year gaming hiatus.

Why do you want to join the team?

I'm a huge fan of Runescape, and I think I could be part of the Sythe community by contributing to this project.

What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?

Most of my experience is in Python/Django/JS, but I have worked with Java before. I like the challenge of debugging and I'd be glad to help implement some of the more mundane things that nobody likes to work on.

What have you done to improve the community?

I try to do my part by engaging with other members and having nice conversations. I think that lots of gaming communities are toxic, but Sythe seems to bring out the best (and unfortunately, sometimes the worst) in people.

Yes, but not for a long time. I have worked with a few RSPS sources back in the day, but it has been a while.


Will you be active on Discord?

Absolutely. I'd be glad to hang out and talk in discord, especially if we're working on a feature together or something like that.

Answer: Yes, I guess I do. I'd consider myself trusted as I own a business in Australia solely for digital products. Including, but not limited to, programming, graphical work, marketing and ecommerce solutions.
How often are you on Sythe each week?
Answer: Almost every day, even though I'm new to this forum.
Why do you want to join the team?
Answer: I'm constantly working 9-5 as there is an extremely large demand in Australia for digital needs, so it would be nice to have something I can come home to and work on for a hobby.
What skills and qualities can you bring to the team?
Answer: Leadership, communication and most importantly efficiency; having said that, while keeping a professional standard, I know how to have fun.
What have you done to improve the community?
Answer: Honestly, nothing at the moment apart from giving some short advice to someone.

Answer: Plenty, Runique rsps, Ruthless rsps and Epicurus - those are the main major ones.

I am a perfectionist and I tend to have the mentality to not stop till I have accomplished/finished a project. As far as leadership skills I am a former CTO of a multi million dollar company. I managed over 8 programmers. I have always been known to be a innovator. I am familiar with JAVA. I have built scripts for some botting clients and I have built custom automation scripts to accomplish tedious mundane tasks.

Honestly I pick syntax up really fast because of my technical background so I am confident there isn't anything I wont be able to understand at this point. I have no experience in RSPS, but I am eager to jump in and help. I like the challenge. I want to say I am trusted but I am continuing to build my trust every day. This is one of those things that I want to engage in to become more trusted around here.

As of this past month, I have been on every other day.

Why do you want to join the team?

I feel as if I am very technical compared to a lot of users on this forum. I want to be of use with my skill set around here. Maybe I can help be part of the growth here at Sythe.

When RSCheata was around I was a mod there. I was a developer for some really popular scripts back in the day. The website is no longer around now. I was also the owner of a website called RSCBUnlocked and RECoders.org.

I have also developed my auto switcher that I am selling on this website in Java. I later then moved to another programming language because I found it to be more useful then Java.

Will you be active on Discord?

I will do the best to be active on Discord. I am on discord every day as it is seeing that I am running a business and have to give out support daily.

Do you have anything to add?

Through out my years of development I have learned how to grow a company from nothing to something. I turned a company that was making 80k a year to 5.5 Million in 3 years. On top of that I have mastered the art of automation. Too scraping, too accomplishing mundane tasks, to automating environments to streamline my work. I have done it all.

I am extremely talented when it comes to marketing as well. I think I can be a great contribute to this community.
