    How are HP Laptops?

A lot of my friends talk down on HP laptops because of how unreliable they are, and how they have bad support. I have a feeling they might be exaggerating things. I've been looking for a new laptop lately and some of the HP Envys seem like a good deal, but I don't want to buy something that's not going to last. So for all of you guys who own/have owned HP laptops, how was the experience?

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

    How are HP Laptops?

I have had a Dell, a Mac, and an HP and my hp is by far my favorite. It may just be personal preference but the HP is faster and has lasted much longer than the other two.

May I ask which specific HP laptop you own and how it handles gaming?

seems like a really good deal, but I'm no laptop guru or anything.

HP is good, I've had mine for about 3-4 Years and I can run BF3 on optimal settings.

Like your friends may have mentioned the support isn't the greatest once Warranty ends.

    How are HP Laptops?

I've had an awful time with HP laptops. I've even seen an image with a graph (source quoted) which showed of all laptop companies, HP was most likely to have serious hardware issues

I have an HP Pavillion dv6 (all the specifications I know) and I've never really used it for gaming except for simple games like Runescape.

I bought a dv6 in march with an AMD A8 processor and it runs great. Of course I don't play any games on it which is probably why it's still running as smoothly as when I bought it. Actually I rarely ever use it.

I used to work at a laptop repair shop, and half the laptops that came in were HPs. I'd probably recommend buying an Asus or Acer.

HP are awful, not to mention their support site being useless to shit. Stick with Dell or ASUS.

I would avoid them like the plague. Cheap build quality.

My HP laptop broke like 3 or 4 times. They have a very high failure rate.
