Best rates ...no you dont?

I have absolutely no idea where this belongs but I just wanted some input so here goes.

I'm kind've getting tired of seeing literally 10 threads all saying "cheapest price" "best rates" etc.

If your price is not the "best" by a 20% margin or more you have no business putting that in your thread title! I waste a significant amount of time and bandwidth just to realize you actually don't have the best rates and your product is actually grossly overpriced.

Now, I realize that it's not reasonable to have someone "verify" the best rates out of every market but I mean..does this not frustrate anyone else? It's basically false advertisement. It's really annoying to just have the term thrown around... I dunno. I realize it's not a significant thing but I just wanted to throw this out there.

 

Yeah it does kind of suck, but really no way to prevent this or help it

Sorry to say but you're not going to get anyone to support this. Sellers/Buyers post that to get users to open their threads and look into them for business.

At one point they may have had the best prices, but then the economy can change within a couple hours and then may not have been able to change the prices. There are so many variables that it's impossible to determine who has the cheapest/best prices.

If it's really that big of a deal, just open up the thread, look at the price, then move on to the next to figure it out. It's called business man, they're going to do whatever they want in order to get their money and what not.

Nothing will change.

 

If you can't find the price you're looking for, make your own thread and list your price.

 

Like what BartonsVodka said, there's nothing much we can do about it. The nature of business is to out-compete their competitors and thus, misleading words are often used; even in the real world.

Its just something that catches people's attention and to get them to visit the thread.

 

Only thing you can really do is convince the business owner to state his title differently.
It's not THAT big of a problem to open up a few threads/websites and compare prices, if you really want the best price that's what you're going to do anyways.
