Speaking of 9! I once saw a level 2 at the ge with 9 hitpoints.

 

level 2? explain how that's possible.

 

Back in RSC, Jagex would roll every level to 1 when they caught you botting, leaving you with lower HP than a brand new account.

 

I thought it was because players originally started with 9 HP in RSC.

 

Wow...In my whole 5 years of playing runescape I've never seen a 1 letter username haha.

 

Having 1 combat and 9 HP is still level 3.

If my memory serves me from nearly a decade ago, I think this was also right. They'd give you 9 HP if you were a tradesman rather than a warrior at start. Warriors get a boost to combat stats (like level 4 in each + 11 HP) and the other option got a boost to mining, wc, smithing.

 

Not true.

It's actually because they changed xp required to lvl up in a skill. I think in RSC 10 hp was 1000 xp, but in RS2 it changed to ~1,100 xp.
Anyone transferring their account would still have 1000 hp xp only, and would hence be lvl 9 hp.
