Explanation of the trade: was looking for a new website to get made and i asked jacky who did his jacky said t1n0 me not thinking much of it thought it was a one stop shop as in get a whole website made.. took me 13 days to finally understand it was just for graphics. with the screenshots you can clearly see that i said website as in the whole website not just some graphics that i could have cooked up on paint. after looking back some of the messages i noticed he said design a couple of time and i agreed to it but I thought it was just a slag word for website makers.

Hey, Idk what the need for a whole essay was but long story short there was a big miscommunication between me and him (he could have put up those screenshots only). Since he did put out the whole convo, a mod can read through it but i'll briefly summarize it.

He was referred to me by jacky, because he asked jacky where jacky got his site made and jacky sent him to me. Keep in mind jacky got a web design from me as well and got it coded by his own developer. So now when he comes to me telling me that jacky sent him (they're friends) obviously I'm assuming he's here for a web design and nothing else of it. (I'm a graphic designer for years, never coded a site in my life so I literally thought nothing of it when he said "website") I agree there was a lot of miss wording here but it wasn't intentional, I've had a handful of people say website when referring to a web designs so I really thought nothing of it at all.

Overall it was bad communication on both ends, you can see me mentioning the word "web design" countless times but then I do see where I said "lets start with the web design" that may have confused him but ya overall I'm unsure how to go about this situation.

And regarding a few similar site designs, I've done maybe 35-40 gold site designs, it gets hard to keep track of where I may have used a certain style and ect so at times I may add it in a similar spot as a different gold site + a handful of these sites tell me to use the color "light blue" through out the site so that makes it even harder to switch up because they all look very similar. All designs are made from 0-100 every single time, I can prove it to a mod if needed and again I'm always down to make any changes if needed by anyone, if you think your design, or any part of the design it too similar to a different design I can change it for you.

Also regarding the price of the design, this is what I charge around for all my gold site designs and web designs in general (can prove this to a mod without a problem as well if needed) This is what I value my time

you know what the funniest part of the screenshot you line my guy is that i said 1.4k for all of it and no whacky tacky shit then you do this.. Also you even said your self there was a lot of misleading words.. i bet if i was to go ask 10 random people what web design meant they would say web design means a whole website not just some MS paint graphics that took you 13 days too cook up.

 

Whats whacky tacky about that? A banner design and animated profile design is never included with any web design and why would it be? obviously that is a separate price... I saw your old avatar and since you told me you completely retired that 07rs3.gold brand I thought I'd suggest you a new banner and avatar for the new site. But okay man let the mods decide

obviously there was? I admit there was otherwise we wouldn't have this report here.. bad communication by both of us but overall I still believe its your fault personally although the mods can make the final call

 

There was poor communication displayed by both parties here. @T1N0 should have mentioned that he only does web designs and doesn't make complete sites (even though his point about doing the same for Jacky's site is valid, he wasn't clear-cut with this on discord). @07rs3.gold should have done his research to determine that a web designer is different than a web developer as it is clear the two aren't correlated to each other in the web development process.

The normal flow of a site is as follows:

1. Get a Web Designer to sketch up a site
2. Get a Web Developer to develop the site based off the pictures.
3. A web designer doesn't have much development knowledge, and a developer doesn't have much designing knowledge, hence why they normally work together.

@T1N0 wasn't extremely clear in regard to whether he'd be developing the site (even though that's typically common sense), which is still an issue here of-course, but he will not be held liable for a debt here as I've spoken to other people about this and the pricing of $1400 for a web design is approximately average for a full site design.

However, @T1N0 said the product would be delivered to @07rs3.gold in a few days, and 2 weeks later after multiple times of him being budged to work on the product more often it was finally delivered. This situation has happened numerous times with you @T1N0 (even as recently as 2 weeks ago) and you never seem to learn until you're punished for it, which is unacceptable given how long you've been in the market for. I've discussed this with several staff and given the amount of times you've failed to meet deadlines throughout the years we've decided that the best solution here is to DNT you which will need to be pardoned for.
