SytheMonthly Applications

Hey guys! So, for members who follow SytheMonthly, you are aware there are "themes" I incorporate in each edition. And, for June I decided to have members of the community write different section(s). To be clear, this is only for June, but if it's a success, there will probably be more editions in the future like this. So, if you would like to write for the June edition, please apply here!

There are normally 8 sections in SytheMonthly, the ones in bold are the ones you can apply for:

Introduction - I'll be writing this.

Sythe Headlines
Notable User Changes
Staff or Member Interview

The following two will be merged because they are fairly short:
Opinion
Happenings

Random Picture of the Month - I'll be posting this.
Ending - I'll be be writing this.

4. Do you understand your segment will have to be thorough and well done? Yes.
5. Why do you want to write for this edition of SytheMonthy? I believe that writing for SytheMonthly will be an interesting experience as I never have done it before. Also, I find writing as a pretty fun thing to do.
6. Is there a specific segment you want and if it isn't available would you mind if I picked the segment you would be writing? I would prefer the staff/member interview but I also wouldn't be opposed to you choosing it for me.

Of course, I'll make it as controversial as possible.

It needs to have more spice, and I won't be afraid to write the most inreresting snipsnazz.

1. Do you regularly read SytheMonthly? Nah, it reminds me of some 5 year old's writing. However, I understand that I need to keep a consistent style, so I'll do my best to write like a toddler would.
2. Are you able to finish writing your segment(s) within the deadline? Probably not, but i'll try. (Yes).
3. Will your segment(s) be original (i.e. humor, etc.)? Being quite honest, you will probably find it horribly offensive. (no, not 'you' in general, 'you' as in wulfspade1). Nah jk, i'll make something up.
4. Do you understand your segment will have to be thorough and well done? I like my steaks well done too.
5. Why do you want to write for this edition of SytheMonthy? I don't really want to be doing this, but I need to do some sort of writing assignment for summer school, so I'll be submitting my section of Sythe Monthly.
6. Is there a specific segment you want and if it isn't available would you mind if I picked the segment you would be writing? Sythe Headlines, and idc
7. Anything else? Even if you don't pick me, I'll still write the section. And the post it to screw with you guys.

I guess more people like reading SytheMonthly than being in it. I'd like to remind everyone that applications close tomorrow, thanks to everyone who has posted an application thus far.

 

Just a question I thought other people would have in mind: If we apply and get accepted for a section, are we going to get a small salary/tip or it just entirely volunteer? Maybe include that in the OP

 

Sorry, it's entirely voluntary. I do this for the community, not for money.

 

The whole Sythe Monthly is a volunteer thing for the Sythe community. No one gets paid, or expects to get paid.
