We all know what a wheel of fortune is right?



It’s essentially a wheel you spin and wherever the peg at the top (use your imagination) stops at would be your prize. Unlike the image shown above, the dial board would consist of 25 brackets. These brackets would consist of prizes and null-void pockets where you would win nothing. The wheel will be funded by SytheGold and the cost to spin would be set at 200 initially and could change at any time depending on the market for SG.

B5 - Can’t spin again the following day
B6 - Win a prizebox 
B7 - Win an additional 150 SG
B8 - Win a random pokemon minirank

B12 - Win a random minirank
B13 - Null
B14 - Can’t spin again the following day
B15 - Win an additional 200 SG
B16 - Win a minirank of your choosing
B17 - You win a free spin (spin again)
B18 - Null
B19 - Win a fun rank of your choosing (see further reqs below)
B20 - Null
B21 - Win an additional 500 SG
B22 - Win a prizebox
B23 - Null
B24 - You win a free spin (spin again)
B25 - Null

B19 requirements - Can only be won on a re-spin. For example you must land on either B17 or B24, then after spinning again, land on B19 and upon landing on B19 must relinquish 2000 SG to trade in (value can change).

Rules and guidelines for this game:

1. You must have at least 200 SG to play.
2. You can only spin once per day.
3. Upon winning, you will be given a ticket number to which you can cash out your prize in a SWOF shop thread (exclusive thread).
4. Trolling and abusing the game may result in a temporary ban, and in some instances a permanent one (from the game itself).
5. To play, you would post on the thread “spin”. Your post will be quoted by a game proctor and a dice roll out of 25 will be issued in response. For example, if the proctor rolled a 7, you would match it with the corresponding bracket number (B7), and you will be given a ticket number via PM so you can cash out your prize in the SWOF shop thread.
6. Only YOU (the winner) can cash out with your ticket number. Sharing or giving your ticket number to someone else is pointless as it will achieve nothing.

Revised ideas:

- Change 3 spins per day to 1 (Volume control)
- Cost of trade-in for B19 increased to 10-15k
- B6 & B22 have been edited to a prizebox win

 

Should be nice but with more different Prices etc.

 

Sounds fun to me, i'd play....some of the prizes sound a little too good. Like the mini rank of your choosing, random pokemon mini rank. Maybe they should be similar to the requirements of the fun rank? idk

 

What prices are you talking about?

I don’t think miniranks hold the same weight as a fun rank, and believe they should be more accessible. If you pay 200 SG to spin, winning a random or choosing a minirank doesn’t sound like a bad deal, especially considering the odds.

 

No support on the prizes.

Maybe try to make the wheel of fortune promotion material, like the banners and dice competitions in the sandbox. For example, someone can buy a slot on the wheel of fortune where they would promote their service/site. When it hits that slot the predetermined prize will be paid out (what the service/site paid for the slot).

 

Turnout of players would be dramatically lower and those prizes don’t scream “fun”. The more people play, the more SG is sinked, and as a result SG will start to stabilize and have substantial value. This could increase donations and posting on the forum (seeing as you obtain SG) as a whole.

 

True but as a result miniranks will become substantially less worth as well as the fact that funranks will be less of a prestige thing. I am 100% against the funrank. The minirank of your choice is fine if they are given REALLY low weighting. Just for your info, those choices are being sold for like 40-50$ and would be more than enough as a 'jackpot' kind of deal on the wheel without the funrank.

 

I don’t mind the funrank not being an option, but it’s there to maximize participation. It’s not as easy as it sounds to get if odds are taken into consideration. Again, you must consider the odds, and the cost to even sniff those odds (in regards to minirank saturation). You must also consider how many times per day you can spin, and the chances of having your extra spins rescinded. The angle in which you’re looking at is too linear.

 

I feel the ranks fun or miniranks should be hard to earn and collect. Personally sets a goal for me to try collect the ones i've found to like overtime. This wheel would be overkill on getting them for anybody who buys SG

 

support because it gives SG more value and more use

Not necessarily. There is no clear cut way to obtain a fun rank or miniranks as it stands (other than coddling higher ups). Also, putting a cap on the amount of times you can spin per day pretty much voids the argument of making it “easy” to get. Could even make it so you can only spin once per day.

 

You can earn ranks by following what they require to unlock. Like the Sythe referral one etc. To the ''Easy'' part how many mini and fun ranks would you get in a week from 3 spins a day. I'd easily cap this at 5+ a week making them more common and not so fun to get

 

this would most likely be a SG sink.

 

Pretty cool idea, would give a bit more use for Sythe Gold which I definitely support. I see a concern about the fun rank, which I do feel needs to keep its prestige and I agree with that. So long as the fun rank is extremely rare I would support that as well.

Could be a cool project for tech core to work on?

i think the random minirank is fine. but the random pokemon minirank should have a req. as well since they are much more rare and wanted. maybe not as difficult to get as the fun rank but have a sg trade it for it too
