Deleted posts

First off, get rid of them. I know they're useful for catching ban evaders, etc., but it's just annoying. Simply put.

Also, if you guys are keeping this, change the time/date format on them.

Ex: This message has been deleted by Hahanerd on 15-10-2010 at 17:19:24.

I wouldn't mind keeping it in General or even only in SB or something. As long as dicing isn't allowed in the other sections, then go for it.

Otherwise, I really don't care about the deletion notices.

 

Members who just come to use the Market and leave (98% of users), don't care for features such as seeing deleted posts and it just gives them a reason to be annoyed when scrolling through a thread. They have no idea why it's there..

Sythe edited it today to reduce dice scams.

 

Only mods can see the contents of the deleted posts, we can still see that it says "deleted posts", from said user.

 

Support. This should be limited to the sandbox/dicing area.

 

It only shows "Message was deleted by ____ at x time"


It will make deleting bumps awkward too, I posted something about it in the dice notice thread in the sandbox. Either it could be limited to sandbox(if possible) or give us the option to toggle it on/off.

 

I support limiting it to just the sand box, if that is possible.

 

Donor's Lounge could use it as well for rolling, incase users can't access the sandbox <.<.

 

i think it should stay in the market as well, catch those bastard delete bumpers that always sneak them in.

It's un-aesthetic, un-needed and if solely for dicing, should be limited to the sandbox.

 

The mods can already see who is doing it.. Its nice to be able to delete bumps that are days old to unclutter your thread.

Like I said, being able to toggle it on/off would be nice.

Edit: As for a toggle... that's a bit silly, though I'd like it myself, but that's more work for Richard =p. Granted, it'd probably be sorta easy to toggle.

 

This isn't modvision. Mods get to read the deleted posts, we just get to see that a post has been deleted -.-

I support limiting to the sand box area. I also support the idea of a dicing sub-section, we could stick this feature in there with dicing and be done with it.
