Jagex Account REVIEW thread - Full info.

Jagex have updated what the "account review thread is about".

Below is the exact words MOD Raven posted:

Hi there,

This thread is a place for you to post the names of accounts you would like reviewed. We will look at the account and see if we can't reduce some of the black marks on your account.

Before posting make sure you read the following rules:-

1) Only post permanently banned/muted accounts.

Do not use this thread to appeal a single black mark or accounts in the green zone. Any accounts that are not permanently banned or muted, will not be reviewed.

2) Do not post locked accounts.

The only way you can recover a locked account, or a forgotten password, is via the official recovery process.

3) Only post the name.

Please do not give a detailed explanation for the offences on your account or why you feel they are unfair. Posting such information will not speed up the process and will have no impact on our review process.

4) Only post once.

Spamming this thread with your account name will only get you in trouble. If your post is hidden it means we are investigating, it does not mean you are ignored.

5) Be patient.

The review process can take quite some time and we will not always be able to get back to you straight away.

6) If you cannot post on the thread when it is open, be patient.

There are now a few more J Mods working on this thread and so we will be able to keep it open longer and at different times. If you can't get on it one time, just wait until it re-opens. Do not create rant threads about the fact this thread was shut.

7) If your account has already been reviewed, please do not post it again.

Our decision will not change and you are only stopping other people posting instead of you.

Remember that you may post on behalf of another account, or even a friend. However, all other forum rules apply.

Where possible we will send you an inbox message, to the account we have reviewed, to explain the action taken.

Several people have been creating threads about the fact that they have not received an inbox message yet. I would like to direct you to rule 5 of this thread:

"Please be patient".

We review hundreds of accounts every day. As such, unsurprisingly, we have a backlog to work through. Rather than denying everyone the chance to post for a while, we are trying to open the thread as regularly as possible to give as many people a chance as we can.

I'm sure you'd all rather your account was reviewed fairly and completely, rather than being dismissed quickly.

Remember this thread is offering an extra chance to those people who we deem to be safe enough to return to the community. Everyone who posts on this thread is not guaranteed a successful review. Nor are they guaranteed to be returned to the game. If we feel you are a danger to the community, we will not be allowing your account to return to the game.

I ask that you don't create any more threads discussing this thread and the speed with which accounts are reviewed. Remember we are trying to review as many accounts as possible, as quickly as possible.

We hope you can be patient during this time.

As you can see you will recieve a message in your message centre explaining the action taken on your account. Also as explained above they are unbanning accounts whom they think do not pose a threat to the community.
