Double posting preventer

Ok i saw this on www.allsteams.com and what it does is when your computer gets really laggy and you keep pressing post and then it will post the same thing around 5 times. The thing would prevent you from posting exactly the same thing for 5 minutes. THis would be very useful. I know I dont explain it very will but I think it is a good idea!

 

Thats Actully a Good idea , I was going to suggest a program similar to this ages ago but never got around to it...

Basically - It stops you posting the EXACT same thing for 5 Minutes.
(Just for those people who want to read is quicker)

 

This is implemented already.

Sometimes it's glitchy.

 

Its called the delete button. Located after you hit edit.

 

It would be much easier if you dont even need to delete it... And sometimes you don't even notice it. Helps to prevent getting infracted for spamming...

No its not implemented allready and if it is it never works. I have had countless experiences with laggy double or triple posting.

What would be better is automerging the doubleposts/tripleposts

If you're being infracted for accidental double posts, PM me and I'll reverse them. Mods should all know that this is accidental so you shouldn't be getting infracted for this. Usually, any double posts are deleted by us anyway.

 

This is pretty good suggestion, it happens to me is well, but only like once a week or so. But definatly would help to prevent from accidental posts and spam.

 

I've gotten infracted before for that. Also its not just infractions it is very anoying when your on a thread and someone posts the same thing 4 times.

 

It comes up with 'You've just posted, wait 30 seconds' for me. That's a good enough double post prevention. I don't recall ever double posting on this forum.

Exactly what i get, it says i have to wait 30 seconds before posting again.

But i guess i support to, i mean it wouldn't hurt putting this is and it would stop spammers spamming unless things everywhere so, its work.

 

Sythe.org shouldn't be laggy anymore with the new server! Never lags for me now.
