Not Right?

Alright... so I just got suspended.... For the rest of the day.

I got suspended for getting mad at a teacher and yelling at her.

She took the paper I was writing to a Soldier (was for extra credit) and she read it, and said it was "too negative" and threw it away...
There was not even a thing negative in the letter.
Is she even aloud to do this?

I got kicked out of class for yelling at her, and they suspended me.

Comment on if you think this is fair...

 

That sounds about right. It's school- what do you expect?

If you want to express your frustration, try something along these lines:
Write her a letter explaining why it was wrong (try giving it a provocative title like "Bad Teacher" for good measure), photocopy (x) times, tape all photocopies to her office wall/room door.

That should piss her off.

I wouldn't think that Teachers would be allowed to do this, and I don't see how they would allow it. I am 100% in agreement with Wendy's suggestion, and I would give you MANY MANY Kudos if you did it.

In my opinion, what the Teacher had done is not right, for you are just trying to express your support for the soldiers who fight for your country. This is very well related to the Thread about the Flags in Australia, and how the Council was saying that the person would have to take it down.

haha that sucks... its fair, cuz ur not suppose to work on other stuff but i would yell at her. But i remember once i yelled really loud at a teacher "fuck you" and just yesterday "if you wanna bitch at me, i dont wanna hear it so just keep all you shit to yourself". these are common things i say to anybody even teachers wen i get pissed. Sometimes u gotta put them in their place, like when i called cal (the disciplinary guy at my school) that he was a fag and i wanted to speak to somebody else cuz he was being a bitch. I never got in trouble for that stuff but i only do it when they deserve it. But watch out, my friend threatened a teacher and the teacher pressed charges for like disrupting class and threatening him. so be careful cuz ppl r pussys

 

School is stupid, are teacher can't even ceep control of are classrooms, they should not of suspended its stupid, No when your parents have to come in to see your progress and about what your like in lesson, i think they should have one of them for teachers what students think of the teachers, that would f**k them up... >_<

 

Dude, don't say that "nothing was negative in the letter". A teacher wouldn't throw it away if nothing was negative, come on. In your mind it wasn't negative. But in her mind, remember she is alot smarter then you and has received higher education, it was. Instead of making excuses, accept the punishment and use a better word choice next time you write a letter in school.

 

Eh, It was a bit harsh to suspend you. Getting kicked out of the class is fair, but suspended, nah. I yell at some of my teachers they just yell back, then when I get an A on the test I laugh at them.. then they feel like idiots..

 

Forget what I said- I'm with Dominick, you should totally accept that she is smarter than, and superior to you. God, teachers have enough stress as it is...

Our teachers aren't like that AT ALL.
They're friendly. They are like our "friends", not just like "I'm a teacher, I do it for the money".

 

All the teachers are like that. They try to do what ever they can to make their day easier and faster. They just want the money. Which is sad, because teachers don't make very much at all.

My opinion: is it fair? Yes. Is it right? No.

A teacher expects to have some control in their class. If a student is disrupting the class, they have every right to kick them out and ask for the student to get a suspension. Now, was she right in throwing out your letter? Of course not - she should have given it to you for a chance to rewrite it, instead of having to write it from the start from scratch.

 

No Matthew, it is not fair. The true answer is, is it fair is it right? No.

But the bottom line is they are allowed to do it. Maybe discuss it with your teacher see what she has to say about it.

 

How is it not fair to expect respect from your pupils, as a schoolteacher? How is it fair to get punishment for causing a scene? I'm sure he was NOT punished for writing a shitty letter, but rather for being rude and disrespectful towards to teacher? Not to mention, he's probably stretching the truth.

 

The bad thing is that they are allowed to do this... It all comes to the fact that you are a minor... WHICH SUCKS ASS

 

First of all, if the paper wasn't from that teacher then she had no right to throw it away, if it was then she had a reason, and you are allowed to yell at her simply because it's your letter, not her's. If i were you just dont show up to ur suspension area, what are they going to do, suspend you even more, let them, you have a rightful reason not to get suspended, try to start a arguement with the school lol, on the other hand..if u included some curse words while yelling at her, thats a different story and you deserved it. =]

I curse my global teacher sometimes just because i block his "basketball shots" into the garbage can and then he says he will fail me, i say go ahead your not suppsoed to be doing this anyway, your suppsoed to be teaching, and then he shuts up.
