Sythe.org Scam Center

As Matthew has worked hard on releasing NextGen, I believe something else needs to be looked at.

The scam center seems out of date for listed imposters, and I feel it wouldn't hurt to revise the list to make it cleaner and more available to the public. It hasn't been updated in about 2 years, so I'm wondering if any progress is going to be made towards it or if it will just die.

 

Or, you could just always ask for a PM from the seller when trading containing their MSN for proof.

Lol. Anyways, nobody(most don't) read it, so I think is useless unless it becomes somewhat more popular to use

 

Now, people just match the msn with the people they're trading with. Some even google search the msn to make sure he has no previously banned accounts. No support Alex, sorry

Just seems like a lot of work when people aren't even gonna use it.

 

It kinda died out a long time ago and there isn't much point to bringing it back.

 

I don't see the harm in having it..if it could help people and cause no harm, go for it.

 

What's the suggestion? The scam center has always been there, but is rarely used.

 

I do this before every single trade I MM. Although I think it would be great if we somehow revamped the scam center, expanded it and made it easier to use and access. Ill post some thoughts about it later on after class.

 

I never even knew Sythe had it's own Sythe.org Scam Center but anyways if it could be like posted in top of the main page of Sythe, I'm pretty sure more members will use it before they trade or something. To be honest, I don't think the staff should let it die as it can be useful.

 

Its already dead. We could make a new one if we really wanted, but I don't see a point.

True, but everything that it does can be done in other ways. >_>.

 

I started ScamRecord which kinda mimics this, but is updated by users, and has a bit more utility.

Stopped working on it though, not enough interest really.

I actully support this. If we could get it up and running , revamped and what not it would be a VERY usefull tool.

I recognise a few of those emails.

It's certaintly out of date. Most people check msn's before trading and PM anyway but if someone wants to take their time to update it i'm not going to object.

 

Would benefit if people used it but I doubt they would

 

As others have said there really isn't even a point in bringing it back. Yes, it can be helpful, but not many people even check it. I, before all trades just make sure the email matches to profile and sometimes check for previously banned accounts..
