Sythe.org MMORPG?

Yeah could you fund millions? I doubt it, you would need a serious amount to pay PROFFESIONAL scripters do make a half decent game.

 

Wow, i think you should do it, just make it like runescape but better, make it basic like runescape, DO NOT make it like WoW

 

I've been reading alot of the sythe MMORPG and really think you guys are really taking it to big to begin.
Start small, alot of people are getting involved in it atm but you first should make some basic lines where you wanne go and how you wanne do it.

start it with a phew quests/skills/what ever you planning
then make it bigger and bigger,... untill you cleared the entire MMORPG market for yourself

 

I think that would be awsome. perhaps a Keyboard moving based MMO, such as WoW, instead of a clicking based on RS?

 

Interesting concept i find it very interesting third person i like but it needs better graphics than runescape and it shouldnt be java based. i also like something like maplestory (kind of) but i like the idea

I think this idea sounds good, I think you should just the basis of the game coded after the initial idea has been confirmed and then rely upon the community to input models for in game - as this would encourage more users input in the game (in theory should like the game more because it is built around there ideas/visions for the game.)

You could look at using Blender (blender.org) which is a open-source 3D modeling tool which can be easily obtained and used by anyone here (as long as these models can be imported into the game correctly). The people who input models should receive some sort of reward maybe to encourage input such as 1 month free membership when membership is brought in (if at all). Specific guidelines should be put in place if this idea if community input such as this is used (maximum-minimum polys, etc).

I think cheating should not be allowed nor exploitation of bugs - a reward should be given to those who report bugs to discourage exploitation. I also agree that the game should not turn out to similar to Runescape because of legal reasons but I think running it through Java would be a good idea because then many more people may have access to the game anywhere. I also think that you should not be able to buy gold or ingame items as this would just ruin the game for those who work hard to get further in it. (this is just my opinion please respect it as I try to respect yours)

 

so your proposing that sythe makes an MMORPG? Not a bad idea but it would take a while and a decent sum of money to get it started.

if you fund you will get your money back from membership, especially if the game gets popular. im assuming there would be membership and members benefits.

 

so it would be based on runescape? whats the current status of this project?

Also ~ Don't name the game with "scape" at the end. Will just appear to be a rip-off to half the people that come across it. How about Giladeon?
