Just get a mod to add [Verified] into the title. We did this with MW2 lobbies back in 2010 and it worked great. It's easy to catch the very few people who falsely put the tag in their title and it also draws attention to verified boosters threads.

A mini rank will be meaningless to new users and even some old users who don't know what miniranks are or what a specific minirank is.

 

Not really viable. The amount of threads made daily/the process goes into verifying them and then the delay of Mods applying it.

It's also easier to keep everything accounted for, and know who is verified and who isn't as Admins can see who holds the minirank - makes removing them easier once boosters leave/retire/go inactive etc.

Also, it's far more aesthetically pleasing. The matter of people not know what it means is baseless really, as you can just hover over the rank to see the general gist of it.

Personally speaking and if you ask Sypherz/Moht/Superman and all staff that monitor the LoL section and know enough about the game, we all agree on this matter.

just do it how we did it when i was on the OGV, have a mod post verified blahblahblah on their thread, and have them quote it and put it in the OP.

 

The point is, Miniranks were never meant to be used for those purposes, but more or less just for fun. Its also worth noting that new users also won't know that hovering over a minirank will tell them what it is.

As far as I'm concerned, anything like this should either be deserving of a full rank, or no rank at all. As for your remark about title changes taking time to be added, the same goes for miniranks, except miniranks will take longer as its an admin only task.

I know from experience that [Verified] tags work, and I see no reason as to why this cannot be the case here. I think issuing a minirank will do nothing, as firstly they are unlabeled (unless you hover over them), they are meant for entertainment purposes, and they are fairly small and tucked away in the corner of the post.

I'm neutral on this honestly, I don't care if it goes either way, I just feel that if you want a GOOD way of having people noticed verified boosters, this is NOT the way to go at all.

 

Why not do both. Having the minirank requires no effort, is aesthetically pleasing if done right, and encourages the market when people see the rank elsewhere in the forum (some boosters like dire, karisuchan, and lalapo are involved in non-LoL forums.)

If we make a thread outlining the minirank + what the deal with verified boosters is there will be no confusion.

 

Steam verified rank exists, I think on that basis LoL verified should also, alongside CDT etc etc

@ "Newcomers wont know to hover", in that case you can contact them and explain - "look, hover over the mini-rank"

I think it needs to be implemented.

I spend a lot of time on the Lol market & discussion pages.

I have a question; by verifying them are you just making sure they're at the level they're claiming to be?

I feel this could add a false sense of security, as much as I like the idea, i feel more security needs to be implimented.

 

We inspect games and reputation as well as verifying their accounts.

By verifying their accounts you mean their sythe or League of Legends account?
