Sythe Interview: Verts.

I'll be interviewing the mysterious Verts today. ^_^ I'd bet most of you would love to know more about her.

What are your hobbies?
I can't really say that I've had any hobbies in recent years. I always used to enjoy ice skating though. I was a pretty fat kid and that was the way I lost weight haha

When you were younger, were you concerned about your weight?
Not really. I always had plenty of friends and they never made fun of me for the way I looked so it was never a major concern to me.

I take it you're interested in graphics. How long have you been doing GFX for?
Well, I've always been interested in GFX. I joined a forum in 2002 and made a few signatures there, but it was really nothing special and back then I was only using Paint Shop Pro. A few years later, I joined Sythe and was REALLY jealous of people's fancy signatures so I got hold of photoshop and started trying to make my own stuff... So pretty much when I joined Sythe, my passion for GFX really hit its peak

Who inspired you to get into Photoshop?
I'd say people like TDD and Haunted's work always stood out to me and encouraged me to create art of my own in Photoshop.

Are you in school or in college?
I'm attending a second year at college next year, but studying a new subject: graphic design.

When you were younger, what was your ambition?
I wanted to be a cat. (Yeah I was pretty deranged <_<). Oh I also wanted to be charmander at one point. That didn't work out.

I take it you like cats. Do you have one yourself? What species is it?
I have a cat called Theo. He's no particular breed, just a regular moggie. He's lovely though. He has more character than a lot of the expensive pedigree cats.

The next one is a bit sensitive of a question. You don't have to answer it if you don't want to. Do you believe in God?
I don't even really know. I don't dismiss any kind of belief, but I don't really have any belief if you get what I mean. I was never raised in the kind of environment that encouraged or discouraged belief.

How is your relationship with your parents?
I dislike them a lot.

Is there a particular reason?
They're very discouraging of everything I do. For example, I told them a few months ago that I didn't want to attend university and they refused to accept it and believe that I should do everything the way that my brother did. They don't seem to see that me and my brother are infact different people with different aspirations. Just a general parenting fail really. My mum is starting to get empty nest syndrome since I'll be leaving home in a few years, probably to live with my boyfriend (who they also disapprove of)

Ah. How did you meet your boyfriend?
Met him at college. 2 days after I had started there, he sent me a message on Facebook saying he'd seen me around and thought I was cute. We got talking and really hit it off right away.

Do you have any best friends at school? Is there that one person that you can tell anything to?
I've always had plenty of friends at school. But yeah my best friend Tom is the one I can tell anything. Being a girl, you'd expect my best friend to also be female but I find girls too bitchy

Do you have any bad habits?
I tend to bite the inside of my mouth when I'm stressed or angry. I used to bite my nails, but for some odd reason I stopped doing that when I got together with my boyfriend.

What do you love about your boyfriend?
He's very caring and dedicated. I know for a fact that he's always there for me when I need him. Not to mention that he's good where it counts

And now, what do you dislike about him?
He can be a little too jealous sometimes. If he sees me talking to a guy that he doesn't know he gets really pissed off at me.

Do you have any pet peeves?
People that don't say please and thank you.

If money wasn't an issue, name 3 things you'd buy for yourself.
An island, a car and a plane

Is there a particular brand/model of the car?
One that's shiny! I'm only educated enough to judge cars on how shiny they are

How would you describe yourself?
Laid back, reserved, witty at times. I like to remain fairly mysterious to other people haha.

Before we end the interview, do you think there should be anything the community should know about you?
That I'm a mean kitty.

Once again, a very good interview Necro. The questions were more personality-based which makes it more interesting. I knew little about Verts before, as she likes to remain mysterious.

I'm stoked that you've chosen to take graphic design a bit further - as you've told me previously you preferred just to keep it as a hobby.
