Restructuring how suggestions are handled

The issues:

• Nine pages of suggestions laying around
• Suggestions being denied when most of community supports it

The possible solutions:

• Have people create a yes/no poll, after 1 week moderator reviews it
• Gets moved to "Pending Suggestions" where an admin hopefully looks at it
• Admin can either approve, deny with reason, veto another admin's denial, and if they let it rot more than a week, it gets auto-approved
• tl;dr: more like a pardon process but with community involved

Otherwise, rename it to the "Useless Ideas" forum​

 

tbh mods should browse the threads, find the good ones, and do a weekly poll vote on which ideas to use. would tidy things up.

 

20-30 people =/= majority of the community.

Suggestions do need to be cleaned up more often though.

apart from 1 or 2 suggestions currently sitting around they are all pretty shitty suggestions or have been denied in the past and are just being re-suggested under different terms.

 

The idea is that the people who vote represent the majority of the community, since it'd be impossible to get the entire community to vote. Basic statistics.

 

Denied, the system runs just fine how it is.
