Sythe Birthday Raffle [Now Accepting Sythe Gold]

A few days ago it was the 12th birthday of Sythe Forums on the 21st April 2017. Although it is not a 5 or 10 year milestone, we wanted to do something fun and exciting for the community.


One lucky person who wins the raffle will be awarded a fun rank. Prizes will, however, not be limited to just 1 fun rank, and we will also be handing out additional prizes such as cash, miniranks, prize boxes, and Sythe gold.


The Prize Tiers:
Tier 1 - 1 x Fun rank & 25% of Raffle $
Tier 2 - 2 x Minirank of your choice + 25% of Raffle $
Tier 3 - x* amount of Poke or Normal Prizebox
Tier 4 - x* amount of Normal Prizebox



Sythe Gold Prizes
@Scotty and @Sonia donated 10,000 Sythe Gold to be included in the prize tiers so each of the first four winners will receive 2,500 Sythe Gold.

The contest is designed so you can purchase tickets for the tiers you are interested in. You are allowed to purchase tickets for multiple tiers, but are required to post your tier purchase in the thread. Before a reward is handed out, your tier purchase will be confirmed.

You are limited to 10 tickets and can combine tiers at your own discretion

Prizes are not limited to the first 4 winners! We will be rolling and roughly 20% of the users entered will win something; however, only 1 fun rank and only 1 minirank of user choice will be handed out.​

I dont quite get this. Just to make things easy:

If I buy a 2$ ticket I get a chance of winning tier 1, 2, 3 AND 4 right?
If I buy a 1.50$ ticket I get a chance of winning just tier 2, 3 and 4 right?

Yep! We wanted to ensure people could enter for prizes they themselves were interested in and did not have to purchase the chance at a fun rank if thy are not interested in receiving one.

Wait, I like the general idea of this raffle.. but if people are entering and money goes towards scam victims could people's money essentially be paid back to themselves? (If they're the scam victims)

 

@Scotty we will discuss Sythe Gold, but I do not have a problem with it/will talk to rest of staff.

Yes, but the idea is part of the pot will benefit all the individuals that have been affected by scammers. It's also worth noting repayment victims are selected and random and if we collect more-than-enough money it will be distributed through the raffle or to the CDT as reward cash for events (amount of $ will affect this).

 

Entry through Sythe gold purchases will be limited to prize boxes.

So if I buy 6 tickets for just a T4, then I can only purchase 4 more tickets regardless of what I buy?

 

So that it's reasonably fair for everyone. If 100 out of 200 tickets sold were owned by one person it would ruin the fun.
