i would like to become a user ed.

i need to know how and what to do in order to do so.

do i need to just make 3 guides? or is there an app?

Follow that guideline and make sure you rigorously follow them. I would suggest writing guides about topics which aren't discussed often, this will bring a factor to your application which would stand out from the rest. Make sure you use grammatical skill correctly and often misspelling words will affect you negatively. There are a few guides on how to properly format your guides in an easy-to-read fashion.
