iPad deception

So.. I've bought the brand new iPad from Apple and used it for about a week

and I must say that I'm not quite happy with it. On the pub, it looked awesome

but once I've got it in my own hands, it didn't seemed so good. The applications

two times expensivier and the applications I've already bought should be re-

bought in order to install them on my iPad. Now, I'm scared to buy the iPhone 4

because I don't want to have the same deception. I'm still a big fan of Apple tho

the iPad just seemed to be failed to me.

That's a waste of money, in my opinion, I would have just built a new computer with that much money. You shouldn't buy any products unless you've seen reviews about it and Pros and Cons, that's what a smart person would do. You should have tested it in store, to see if it was worth it.

Yes but I'd rather pay 600$ for the iPhone 4 then having a stupid term of

three years and paying 50$ a month -_- Look at the math:

Example: Cheapest iPhone pack in Canada using Bell is 50$ a month.

So 50 x 12 = 600

And 600 x 3 = 1800

So instead of paying 1800 for a three year term and the 99$ phone, I'd just pay 600$.

I'd still like comments of people who owns an iPhone 4.

Why? You lose soo much money from buying something that you don't like. It's like buying computer parts that you don't know how to put together. You should start looking at reviews from now on and start researching on that product, it will help you in the long run. It's also like buying a video game without knowing what's it about and how the gameplay is, et cetera, know what I mean? So if you want to go ahead and not look at reviews and research a product, you'll most likely be very unhappy if you find out you don't like it and wasted hundreds of dollars on it.

But don't you have to have some sort of data plan in order to use the wireless internet?

That makes it seem as if he/she won't be paying anything for a data plan.

 

No handset only isn't an option anymore dude unless your looking for resale yo need the data plan to do anything on the iPhone 4.0. Buying it on pays as you go would still cost you upto $2000 what's the point in a iPhone without a data plan you might aswell get a ipod touch and a phone worth $10.

 

There are many ways around buying apps, but I will not discuss them here. That's what I was planning on using for my iPad, as I browsed the App Store for iPads on an iPad in the Apple Store closest to me. It was just common sense to go there, maybe buy an app or two for the iPad to see the quality, and then you'll know if you would like to buy or not.

I have an iPhone 4, I'm actually posting this from it.

I bought it with the intentions of selling it
(buy for $200, sell on eBay for >$750, buy a nexus one for $550, left over $200) but I've had some difficulties with eBay.

Well anyway, it's nothing special. I prefer android so much more, as I like to root the devices (you can even install ubuntu desktop on some of them)

Well anyway, it's not much different than a 3GS. The retina display is stunning for the first 3 days, then you don't even notice it. I haven't used FaceTime once as it's pointless if it's only iPhone to iPhone calls (iPhone to desktop via skype would be awesome). The HD video recording and 5mp camera with flash are probably te nicest feature IMO.

Also, mine is jailbroken. I can't live without it anymore (google voice).

 

I only like the ipod touch. Personally I dislike the iPad and the iPhone. I'm quite happy with my droid . The glare on the iPad is also a killer.

 

How do you get around the AT&T contract?

I have the iPhone 4. My reception is absolutely fine. I don't hold it in a crazy position or squeeze it or any of the other rumors. I think there is a percentage of them that have the antennae issue, though it is very low. Neither mine nor anyone I know that has one has the issue. The camera is magnificent, face-time is elegant and the next step in mobile communication in my opinion, the screen is bright and HD. There isn't anything more I could ask for in a phone. I'd say it actually exceeded my expectations.

 

I have a 3G iPhone which is fine..

I'd rather a laptop over iPad though

Mom has the iPad. I love it but I wouldn't spend my personal money on one, I don't have the use.

I have an iPhone 4. I love it and if you can afford it (and its pricey plan) I recommend it. Just don't forget to get the bumper case so you don''t experience many dropped calls (due to a small design flaw).
