I had the Logitech G930's and they were awesome for what they were.

If you really want an audiophile grade setup I recommend you get studio quality headphones and a good condenser mic with a usb audio interface with support for XLR input and Phantom power.

Going from a gaming headset to my current setup of Shure SH440's and the Blue Digital Spark has made an insane difference. Not only does everyone always ask me how I get such a clear voice in Teamspeak/Ventrilo but the sound I get is awesome as well.

Get the Audio-Technica ATH-M50/S and buy a quality mic.

Audio Technica AD-700s are better for gaming risk :)
grab AD700s + clip on/desktop mic. Will sound better then any trash gaming headset, and dont bother arguing that its the truth,

Going from Audio Technia $100 range headphones to comparably priced Shures SH440's I can tell you the Shures win hands down, crisper uppers, very heavy and pronounced bass and the fact that I cant hear a tank driving through my house they are epic.

But honestly any studio quality headphones > gaming headshits.

Studio headphones have a distinct disadvantage in sounding very... bland? They're meant to separate sounds to make post production on music easier, but a lot of "character" in the music or sounds are lost.

This doesn't bother everyone obviously, but something to consider. Also my $150 audio-Technicas are amazing in all ranges, I haven't been disappointed. (And I consider myself to be a 'little' bit of an audiophile.) They tend to beat out even much higher priced items in comparison. Maybe it's just my model though.
