Guide On How To Be A good person There are many definitions for the phrase to do a good deed. This is the first guide I have written; I am not using text books, no psychological magazines, or even advice from a living person. I got my inspiration to write this guide from two movies, The Pursuit of Happyness and Seven Pounds. I cried while watching both. Consider the Following I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear. -Martin Luther King, Jr.- My definition of kind: Is the world going to change for the better because you have a fancy sports car? Is the world going to be nudged towards the goodside because of the amount of money you have in your bank account? Maybe. My definition of kind is: Kindness is the absence of hatefulness. I am caught between religion and atheism. I know that I believe in something. Here I take from the speaking of a man with great thoughts. This would mean the same to me whether it was written by a prophet years ago or Dr. Sues (R.I.P.) Consider the following. “Teach this triple truth to all: A generous heart, kind speech, and a life of service and compassion are the things which renew humanity.†Buddha quotes ---Tools Needed to Be Kind --- 1. A heart. Why? One reason: You can’t really be kind if you are dead. But A heart can extend into many more beautiful things including (But not limited to) a heart shaped box of candy for a child in a hospital, a card for your cousins. 2. Voice. By voice, I am not limiting you to vocalization. I mean a way of making yourself HEARD. You don’t need to speak. 77% of human communication is not related to the use of your actual voice. I think perhaps the greatest example of this Helen Keller a woman who left her footprint deep in the history of Alabama, women's suffrage, and workers' rights. Though she could not speak until late in life, nor hear. She could communicate. And through communication, she changed the lives of many people by being kind. ---Beginner Kindness--- 1. Wake up, and say good morning to your family. If you have none, say good morning to someone outside or to an ant on your windowsill. Don’t kill it. 2. Actually bring some cans of soup if there is a canned food drive at your school. Even that can of corn that you don’t like will do. 3. Make a bird pine cone feeder. Birds are not expert hunters and 5 times out of 10, if you see a bird in your backyard it’s hungry. Take a pinecone, spread some peanut butter, dip in a bad of seeds. 4. Read a book to the youngest grade level in your school(if you have one) 5. Be nice to yourself, for if you are not there to be nice to anybody, then this guide has no meaning… ---Intermediate Kindness--- 1. Volunteer at your local soup kitchen. 2. Turn off the kitchen sink water when you walk away. You don’t take notice of water until you really need it. 3. When you are driving, wait until you are parked or at a stop light to look at that phone. Who knows…you might be saving somebody’s life. 4. Quit smoking if you live in an apartment complex or in a widely inhabited suburban area. Its good for you and the people around you. Even the animals have lungs you know. Play runescape. Its just as addicting. 5. Tell somebody that you care. Just somebody, even if you think that they might look at you weird. ---Hard Ways to Be Kind--- 1. Donate 1/20 of your paycheck to a charity near you. This might be hard for some of you.. 2. If you have a choice between a wild college and going to your little sister’s ballet, choose the latter. Drinking a lot won’t make the world different much, but it might change for the better because you were important and you were there in the life of one child. 3. Ride your electric scooter instead of your gas one. You save a bit of gas money, and you’re being kind to all 6 billion of us here on this little earth. 4. Unless you are starving, throw back that snook, trought, or sailfish. One fish could lead to the birth of many. 5. Donate the most important thing to you. Well I hope this helped you out. Why would this help? It would seem to just make me sad instead of happy and kind. This guides topic is really different then other guides I've seen lately but it's actually a pretty decent guide.

I'm not a person that likes quotes at all but that quote is stinking amazing and really defines kindness to me. You need to be both an optimistic and realistic person always.
