    Ubuntu 8.04 server edition lts

    hey I'm having some trouble I'm trying to install some desktop stuff cuz I'm a noob at Linux stuff but I can't connect to the Internet, I just realized I forgot to configure my network does anyone know how I configure it manually?

    Are you sure its the network configuration. It might be the drivers if you installed Linux over the windows OS.

    If not I think you have to go to like http://192.168.0.1 Then log in with your admin pass etc. And you can config it from there.
    Other than that I'm not too sure.

    no the problem is... The server edition is all terminal and code n stuff and I have no idea with anything Linux basically and when I installed it from the cd I installed only one os which would be ubuntu and I was trying to install it quickly so I pressed manually configure network settings later...do you think I would mess up the comp if I booted the cd again and re-ran the installer?
