Is this legal(u.s)

Me and 4 friends are starting a group. We all all sophmores-senior in highschool. Our school is drug filled. We can get tobacco products from the senior. We were going to buy cigarettes cigars pipes dip etc. then sell it for profit. 25% split for the inventory. We set up the deals on school and trade off. Is it legal to buy tobacco then sell for a profit. I know selling to underage is but what about this?

Yes, it is illegal, if you are selling it on school grounds. Whats the point of selling it to seniors since they can get it themselves legally. Selling to minors is illegal and since you are worried about legality the objective of keeping it legal wasn't valid in the first place.

Who cares if it's illegal, if you think you can easily get away with it then do it. Now if there is a big risk then forget it.

He has pretty much summed it up. Although I understand why your doing it but I doubt seniors would buy it and the younglings might bitch out.

 

It depends how he handles it.
I know a guy that have been doing that for the past two years, he's 17 now I guess and his parents buys him cigarettes and then he sells them back to other people at school and he makes tons of money and he never got caught.
I guess it could work if you're good, but still, bear in mind that if you get caught, you'll get in serious trouble.

I dont think it would be illegal. Maybe if you start buying drugs and reselling it then i would be illegal.

yes, selling to minors is a crime, even if your a minor. and selling/ and the possession of tobacco on school property is a crime if your underage and the schools will report it to the local police and you will have to pay a fine or usually have to take a class as well. ALSO i havent seen this posted on this thread is that each state has there own tax laws on tobacco so you could get introuble for that too.

 

It is definitely illegal and I wouldn't try it.

I used to do the same thing with my mate except with sweet's(we had a really cheap source) and when the teacher's found out he got suspended for a day. School's really don't like people doing stuff like this.

 

I think your buyer should be more worried about getting a distributing charge than anything else.

 

thanks for the info we tryed it today and made 62$ profit between all of us. i am aware of the charge of selling underage. at our school if you are caught with anything tobacco they take it away and write you up which is nothing

 

It's illegal to sell anything on school grounds if I recall. or Better yet, against the rules. I forgot what the specific word or rule is but you will be penalized if caught. Be it tobacco or what-ever. Tobacco 18+
