As far as I am aware, you must buy the game to play after the 10 day trial and THEN add game time. With the game you get a free month though, which is nice.

You need to buy the game, or borrow discs from your friends.

As stated, the CD's are NECESSARY. Whether that means borrowing them or buying them, it doesn't matter. I got mine for free from my uncle. So ask around and see if you can get it for free and save yourself a few bucks.

You can download the game directly from WoW's official website, and I'm quite sure, if you add a 60days gaming card to a trail account, it makes it a "real" account.

But don't trust me, I'm just "assuming" things :p..

But I don't think you'll have like a "CD Key" when you do it that way, which makes it hard to recover the account if anything ever happens to it.

You're wrong. Me and a friend recently started playing because I was given an account. I did the recruit a friend thing, and after his 10 day trial ran out, he had to PURCHASE THE GAME ANDBUY GAME TIME.
