SVN help needed!!!!!!!! Anyone please

Ill explain step by step.

1st: I dled and installed TortoiseSVN.
2nd: I tryed both ways, rebooting and just installing it and going from there.
3rd: When i when to a tutorial, he had a .svn folder in his scar includes,
which i did not get.

SO other then that, I made a new folder called Reflections, like they said, and SVN checkedout. It did'nt work and i know i filled everything out right.
AS WELL AS, i rebooted and svned it did'nt let me check out.

Can someone please, explain FULLY, if pictures PLEASE, on how to install SVN and have it work, because it didn't work for me.

Also i have another question, How come when i copy and paste a code it says: Please include a start, i do, and it still doesnt work, so if you could properly explain how to paste a code.
