Context: ALL TIMES ARE IN USA EST. This is about liability of GP. For the overview of situation, last night we were I was staking with Name, who is owner of Sushi Stakes (Sythe name: sushi). I have been in his discord for about 5-6 years between multiple different discords with 0 issues. We've probably done 100s of Billions of GP exchanged between us in stakes. He suggested we take it here so there could be a vote of liability and settle it here as it is a significant amount of money to just walk away from on either side. OSRS encountered huge server crashes, especially on German worlds (where we were) that caused a roll back.

Story and Information:
- Staking Part: I sold some gear and had some plats that I was going to stake with. We went to world 375, a German world, to deposit money and then 578 to do the stake on the arena world. I deposited with Name at 10:18pm. I set the stake amount for 7.27B and I won. After the tax, I had 13.81B. I decided to do one more stake at 10:21 for 3.8B and I won. After it's said and done with taxes on both, I finished with 17.23B. I wanted to pulled 4B out in crypto (.215/m listed above) and take 13B (12.35B after another tax) out in GP with pictures shown below which I initiated all of this at 10:24pm for 2 WDs. He traded with me in 2. 1st trade 7B and 2nd trade 5.35B.

Within the next like 30-45 minutes after the withdrawal:
- I went back to GE to get the trades, and after, I went to buy some gear back around let's say 10:35-10:40 once I got the final trade of 5.35B (stuff like Scythe, Tbow, Inquisitor Set/Mace, Ely, Harmonized Staff, etc) - so big ticket items. I had purchased Tbow and Inquisitor set first. Once I put in bank, I put the offer in for Shadow and Elysian. They didn't instantly buy which was weird, so I tried to edit the offers on both. I got weird messages and I could no longer edit the price or remove them from buying like they were stuck there. Once this began, everything went stopped working. Friends chat didn't show, couldn't access bank, etc. So I tried to hop to another world and it just kicked me off leaving a message that said: "either your account is still logged in, or the last world you were using has become unavailable. Please try again later".
- Obviously with panic ensuing trying to figure out what's going on, my friend on a British world told me every German world has crashed (375 - german world - is what we were on to do deposit/withdrawal) and 0 players online for any of them. Dropping pics to show

Guy says no but confirms he was locked in the world, confirmation of being logged out and then finally being able to log in. Messages and screenshots trying to figure things out (they're might be quite a few of these for detail):
- We messaged for quite some time as things were going on to figure out what was going on. He's sending me messages of his friend he's asking who brought money, I'm sending updates and posts about what I'm seeing, etc. Keep in mind this is all happening in real time. Time stamps included with messages and conversations of what we can do to fix it, etc.

imgur.com - Jagex responds about an hour later around midnight saying reports coming in of issues. Another hour later, they show there's an unintentional rollback.

Conversations and updates this morning after hoping things would get fixed and tweaked:
- we started chatting at 9am this morning. I reach out to Name to show him my plats and valuables are gone. nothing there. Name tells me that his account he was on is banned and he can't even hop on that account to look. I had a friend mention on VC he had slayer task rollback from quantity of monster on task, so I know it took place. Not of high significance, but I know some stuff got reverted. Many reddit threads out there confirming same thing. I ask about reimbursement of some form as clearly, I don't have it, his account is banned so he can't see it and us waiting on his friend to verify if he had what he had given over from the WD amount, but he hasn't responded. I told Name that since his account might have been banned, if I had deposited that money and his account got banned, I was still owed that money as it was nulled. Name explained it was best I make this ticket as it's a tricky situation and should be resolved here. I insinuated that for a no harm to anyone situation, the original 7B stake just be returned and we clear it out. However, with his account banned, he didn't have it on hand. I told him I didn't think he deserved to take a complete wash from it since it effected both of us, but with me having to go through all of this and his friend being a part of it, I figured might as well put this here to determine liability and if there should be form of reimbursement. Again as mentioned before, we have exchanged 100s of Billions. His server is quite large and they do a significant amount of business. Me being a large contributor to that over the years. I feel as if the 12.35B I'm owed is significantly more of value to me than him and as the server host, it should be his responsibility to make some form of compromise. That's what business owners do. I would've much preferred it be handled between us, but it is a business and he suggested I bring this here.

Truthfully, I believe I'm owed 12.35B. The 7B from Name and the 5.35B from the other, but we're not sure what's on his account. I tried to make a compromise somewhere in the middle, but in the end, he wanted to do full thing or nothing so I get that.

Please help.

 

Events:

I received 7b from @Mambo5.

They won some stakes and withdrawed 12.35B GP and 4.2B crypto.

7B was held by me for about 10 minutes~ during our stakes.

5.35B was traded by @RglGP. I paid and he delivered it directly to @Mambo5.


40 minutes later...

@Mambo5 said he was missing 12.35B.

I checked my account as requested, but it didn’t have any GP.

@RglGP said he also didn’t have more than expected after I asked him.

Ban:

12 hours~ later...

I was asked to check my account again but couldn't because it was banned.

@RglGP is yet to respond.

Summary:

If I received 7B, I would return it.

My belief is I wasn’t rolled back because I had already logged out before the server issue and my account saved normally with the server.

@RglGP said he also didn't gain GP. Only me having to refund 7B isn't a fair compromise.

Refunding 7B because it was the initial deposit also doesn't make sense because 4.2B was sent via crypto.

I believe Jagex should be liable for losses caused by server issues and I didn’t gain GP that could be refunded.

To add to this: I do not think Sushi is a scammer by any means. Again, we've known each other for over 5+ years. I think it's just too cloudy for liability and we just wanted it sorted by 3rd party regardless. Like every business, there has to be some form of liability somewhere.

Although he says he didn't have money on his account when he logged, that doesn't mean he doesn't have it on there now and it's banned so we wouldn't know. I HAD the money before I was able to log back in, and then it was gone. So the logging out could've impacted both accounts significantly. The other person involved hasn't responded so we don't know if that money is still there either.
