1 - ♦ Introduction ♦ - 1

All you need to become a Mod is a runescape account, decent grammar, and 5 hours a week of played time. If you have an account with black marks, it doesn't matter at all. As long as you try from this guide on,
you too can be a mod.
Step one is read up on the > RULES <. After you do that , it's as simple as following them , and just being a decent person, respecting everyone you speak to, even if it means taking shit from people.

2 - &#9829; Beggining &#9829; - 2
Too start out, start spelling full words, no l337 speak, or any of that junk. Finish your sentences with periods, and use commas to separate your sentence. JaGeX loves anyone who knows how to communicate clearly with the public.
Then after you work on how you type, you can start being respectful and nice to every player you meet. If someone starts an arguement, or is agging you on, you can either
a) add him to your ignore list.
b) respectfully speak to him back, trying to calm him down with no rudeness
Either of those two work perfectly, as long as you don't get angry and start raging back. THIS INCLUDES PVP!
If you're in PVP, and you get rushed, downed, etc, don't start spamming noob noob fcer sad sad, Say your rules of how you fight, and always say good luck, good fight etc. It's ok to run, and farcast too, JaGeX has no issue with how you pk, just how you act when you do. If you are fighting a farcaster, say please stop, and just run out. Don't spam hate messages.






3 - &#9827; All the Tips &#9827; - 3
Now comes the good parts, do not report EVERY player you see do something wrong, that's pointless, it's literally spam to them. If you're reporting a macro, have some proof, try to talk to them, or mess the bot up, if it is obviously a bot with a bit of proof, go ahead and send that report. If you see someone flamming someone, don't report it right away unless he gets out of hand, then it's a good report. If you see a player asking for a girlfriend or boyfriend, thats reportable, under Respect - Solicitation. A really good thing to do is actually help players out, there's a quest section of the runescape forums with people asking for partners for heroes, even if you've finished the quest, you can still help others, make sure to include you've finished and you're helping people out. Other good tips are going to a semi-populated world in lumbridge, and finding people who have names like joe1262 and look like new players, offer them some help, such as finding a quest, or a set of armour. Obviously avoid players like 1337k1ll3r and such. Another good thing to do is go to lumbridge and when you see players breaking the rules, instead of reporting, offer them advice on how to stick to the rules. A good clan chat to join is Mod MMG, it's full of mods and sometimes Mod MMG himself. Just stay in there, crack a few runescape related rule abiding jokes, and just be a nice person. You might even be-friend a mod, if that happens, talk with them , get to know them , if you do that he might even recommend you.

That's just my guide for now, follow what I said there, and what I'm going to add in the future, and you'll have that crown in notime! Just don't seem like a suck-up, JaGeX hates WBM and suckups more then anything.

[Note] If you have something you're trying to hide on your account (RWT, Botting etc), This is a bad idea, because they THROUGHLY check your account for anything that could make them change their mind. [Note]

I've wanted to write a new guide for a while, and the ones I had in mind were sale-worthy, so I released a free one, and it was on something that had me in it for a while, being a player mod!

Nice guide, look forward to reading it if/when you update it with the rest. Never really given any thought to mods, although I don't really have a chance at becoming one myself. Never had any bans, mutes, offences or blackmarks, but I do bot a lot, so wouldn't risk it.

 

Haha same reason I don't, I mess around to much, They'd probably see a potential mod, look into me, and give me a perm ban : )

Lol...i havent become mod yet....i mean...no black marks...no offences actually..Must be because i dont play that much anymore...

 

Heres another tip: just keep skilling.

A friend of mine got pmod status because he got 99 mining and smithing all while staying f2p. I asked him if he ever reported anyone and he said no.

 

This seems legit.

 

Im pretty sure there is no special ways to become player mod, I asked from player mod (mod hiisi) and she said jagex contacted him via those messages what shows in "lobby", she said e didn't done anything special, helped out some guys and never broken rules. but good guide tho.

 

All i do is bot and pk, so i don't think i will try to become a mod, but 3 of my friends irl are, so this is a nice guide. 5/5

Thanks everyone And if you break a lot of rules, I'd advise you to not follow this guide to the full extent, but just enough so you don't get checked up too often

 

Are you able to do this with macroing offences on your IP?
I heard they will never mod you if you've gotten banned for botting.

 

You may be able to get a mod with any offense, just depends how long ago it was and how much effort you put into it.

 

Nice guide set up but theres no way to really become a RS mod.

 

I followed that and was modded on 2 separate accounts in the same year and was offered a 3rd. This isn't a way, it's just guidelines on how to increase chances.

 

Very good guide 10/10 good tips etc.
