    jerjer

Let me start off by saying, I am not sure who scammed me exactly, as it was an imposter - although I have reason to believe the imposter was jerjer. I lost $125, and the reason I am reporting this scam which occurred on March 13th, 2012 is because I wanted to give him a chance to refund my money, and if he got banned that would have definitely eliminated chance of refund, although it is now clear I won't be refunded anyways so I will open this report.

    I'll begin:

March 13th: I come on Sythe looking to buy some gold for my personal RuneScape account for the upcoming bonus xp weekend. I look around, I see Benda3's gold shop. Completely trustworthy, good prices, so I went ahead and added him. Turns out he wasn't able to accept PayPal directly (I didn't use PA at the time, now I do), so I say that's fine and delete him from my Skype friends.

I hop back on Sythe, to look for someone else. I notice I have a PM from jerjer, he says "hey i may be able to sell you the 100m you need if your sellers isnt online. let me know if youre interested". I guess he read my post on Benda3's thread and tried to steal the sell or something. He added me and after a few minutes said he wasn't able to do the trade, and we were done talking - removed.

5 minutes later, Benda3 re-adds me, I accept. He says that since he was almost out of gold, he would instead just sell it all to me via PayPal. Turns out, this was an imposter (I'll address this in a little bit). Since I didn't want to get scammed, I asked him if he could PM me on Sythe, he told me to just PM him and he would reply back.

I hop on Sythe real quick, send a PM to the real Benda3. I tell the imposter on Skype I sent it, he says "replied". I refresh the page, indeed - I got a PM from Benda3 as soon as he said "replied", just saying his contact information I was supposedly talking to him on. All is good, he gives me the email to send the money to ([email protected]), I send $75 for the 100M. He says I can buy the rest for $50 as that was the last of it, I said sure, I went ahead and sent him another $50.

Once that $50 was sent, I never heard from him again - signed off.

So, that's how I got scammed. Now here are some eerie details:

I have never posted my Skype public. Absolutely never. I ALWAYS add people on Skype myself. As a matter of fact, I have only added a few people from here to my Skype, 2 of which I had a successful trade with and 1 where he couldn't accept PayPal, and the real Benda. Now that means this scammer either obtained my email from: King Tijn (obviously not), Benda3 (obviously not) or from jerjer because I PMed it to him on Sythe.

Now, back to the imposters email. The imposter asked me to send the money to "[email protected]". Now if you Google search that email, you come up with this thread: http://www.sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1176513. This was posted on July 13th, 2011. Now look when it was edited, March 13th, 2012. Not only is this the same date I was scammed, look at the TIME it was edited: 2:23 AM (at least for me) THAT IS THE EXACT TIME I WAS SCAMMED AT.

Now I'm not sure what he edited, but there is no way that jerjer goes back and randomly edits a post from JULY at the EXACT time I was scammed.

I PMed jerjer and he said "the email was hacked". That's ridiculous, why would someone steal an email and then use the PayPal account connected to it? PayPal accounts are free.

I don't know why the real Benda3 replied to my confirmation PM. I don't know if he has something to do with it either? I received an instant PM back from him after I PMed him trying to confirm it was actually him (Note to Benda3 if he sees this: When people PM you asking you to confirm it is you they're speaking to, please don't reply and say it is. You made me lose $125 - thanks bud!).

Anyways, this was a really long post and it seems pretty clear to me that I was scammed $125 by jerjer. I also looked at his posts the days following March 13th, and he was buying a lot of gold, could just be a coincidence.

I don't know what other proof I should post.

If you notice the time at the end of the conversation, it is the exact time that post was edited out as I got scammed as I said before...

A skype display name can be anything, we need contact details.

Huh? This wasn't the real Benda, I got scammed by a Benda3 imposter. But I believe said imposter is the user "jerjer" as I explained in my post.

Benda3's real Skype is "benda_sythe" and the imposter I was talking to in the screenshots Skype login is "benda.sythe".

I'm not saying Benda scammed me, since I don't think he did (although when he sent me a PM to confirm it was him on Sythe is weird...), but I think jerjer is this imposter.

Sorry, there's insufficient proof linking jerjer to that skype. If you have additional info, please create a new report :)
