Summoning Good Or Bad?

I Take It Most Of You Or All Of You Are Aware Of The Summoning Update Coming In January 2008, If You Wern't You Are Now .

But What Do You Think Of The Update? Is It Good? Or Is It Bad? Or Both? I Personally Think It Will Have Effects On Pking And Such But Overall, Good Idea .

I don't know, it could be hella sick, depending on what they do with it.

For example, here's what's running through my head:

They're either going to make the summoned monsters:
- Pets (Follow you around, do random shit, maybe a stat bonus or something)
- An actual monster that you can control... (How would they do that? weird.)
- Something that follows you around to show how uber you are. Uber. Hahah, Yes, I DID just use that word.
- Or, possibly, some sort of new "dueling arena" for summoned pets - I think there's a good chance something like this is what they're planning.

That's just what I think. Like I said, I'm not sure. It could be either REALLY cool, or REALLY lame.

 

I'm with the guy above. Will you be able to fight your pets against others, if they make them into pets? Will you have tasks similar to slayer? Will you be able to take your pet into the wilderness? Does the emote and cape look cool?

I voted a little bit of both.

 

We have to wait over month lol this is gona be hard..

the other question is asked.. will it be f2p also? its about time they made something for both.

 

I heard the summoning idea is like...

You go into battle...
Summon the monster (i.e. summon a lesser)
The monster attacks the enemy
Then it disappears after battle.

 

u doubt the monsters would be any good.. they would be nooby..

 

We're just going to have to wait. I doubt summoning will be good anyways.

Summoning as in 2Moon's type or D2 type?

 

It will most likely be a crappy gimmick to get people to pay for membership.
but it would be good if they made the junk you summon have more inventory space.
and it would be cool if it didn't interfere with pking or make you have to do a quest that gives def xp.
my prediction is that it will suck and be as useless as possible. (and most likely be fruity looking...)
it would be fucking annoying as hell if they made a 'pick up (summond thing...)' option like pets I hope the person who thought of the idea for cats dies and gets raped by a pedefile/necrophiliac transsexual psychopath satanic bald arachibutyrophobic hobo slut while he burns in hell. And then comes back to life and chokes to death trying to drink frozen peanut butter through a coffee straw at his wedding after he finds out his wife is cheating on him with his mom. (and then explodes while I walk away in slow-motion with a really deep voice in the background saying "fatality!" with dramatic music... yeah, that'll be the day, you just imagined it didn't you!)

They can't mess up with this shit, they've ruined the game enough already; they've lost a lot of players.

 

That is a good question, I personally think it will be members, i dont really play runescape much anymore but for all you F2P guys i hope its for both

To all f2p players: Fagex does not make updates for f2p, because it doesn't bring any income for them. If you want something - go members

Yeah, a staking/dueling arena for the summoned monsters would be cool.

 

well to be honest i think it will suck probally becuse the last update ruined alot for me..
