Almost Lost my house/cash/etc.

Guys today i made the biggest fuck up in my life. Was new to paypal and this imposter took my information. my credit card. and everything... I feel like shit. Just to get rsgp. I feel so fuckign stupid atm. good thing i told my mom to cancel her credit card... better than losing my house id rather get screamed at

 

Think you're overreacting a bit. While yes, a stolen PayPal can be a bit of a hazard there are precautions. As well, a simple call to your credit-card company cancels it (as I see you did.) As well, most cards have limits, or after drastic spending would be denied and/or the company would call you.(Same as a bank.)

How did you get your PayPal stolen by trying to get RSGP?

 

yea. it was my moms credit card btw :c she got it canceled tho

 

It was an Imposter email of legitornot :\ well still got scammed $80 >.<

 

Very good choice telling a parent, everyone makes mistakes, now you learned from this mistake and will be smarter in the future!

 

Most credit cards have theft protection.

Black i was never going to tell them. Until some random kid Imed me on msn i was freaking out on him asking if they could like spend all of the cash and he was omg tell your parents or youll lose your house... THANK GOD.

no... I had 75 my mom gave me. but for some reason i couldnt send cash out. needed to link bank account to be able to send cash >.<

There's these awesome things at grocery stores called Pre-paid debit cards. They let you load paypal without risking your personal credit card. Invest in them.

 

yea good that you told your mom or otherwise you would be really dead man

 

I bought a moneypak but the scammer isnt from us. + i couldnt send cash as a gift without a linked bank account -_-
