You’re pathetic. Keep vomiting words, I am out.
You're the one trying to throw insults, maybe keep to the task at hand and not your stupid petty little kid mentality
I simply quoted something that was valid, and have mentioned I'll link more referring what I'm on about and all you decide to do is try insult people xd, who's the real loser here
@MyPvM before you piss yourself https://www.sythe.org/threads/denie...-without-customer-approval-knowledge.3933249/
No support, as people have said sythe is an Competitive/Open(as in anyone can join) market. There’s nothing stopping the “not as big” name sellers from doing the exact same thing. Offer the same service for less commission/better customer service or any other method that’s better than what is currently available.
I do recall a few people getting bans for advertising names they did not own
Doesn't this apply here?
Because... reasonably it's either advertising product which is not owned or an open market
I believe the reports you're referring to as situations where someone was attempting to sell a name they neither owned nor had permission of the owner to list.
after a little thought, I have a question:
What stops me from doing the same thing for every market for no commission? (This is meant to be a trick question),
If I was to do so, would this be considered a market server?
Common sense? Why would you re-sell stuff without making a profit?
But even if you do take a commission it would depend on the market.
Accounts: list accounts of other people. Value always depends on the OO. You could list it for other people and take a cut, but with high volume you'll probably end up with accounts getting recovered. Some people have chosen this business model before but stopped doing so for obvious reasons.
Services: this is already a thing with 'workers'.
Gold: Lot's of gold sellers/buyers actively have each other deliver to customers when they don't have the stock. Could be considered the same thing as well.
Before I explain the difference between their situations outlined in this thread and the points , what about a case like so:
@Titanite (sorry Mr titanate to use you as an example) Runs this service, basically what is outlined in my question, as far as I am aware he hasn't advertised it on sythe. is he allowed to advertise it on sythe?
I'll refer to the points you explained above shortly
I was wondering why you joined left joined
There is a slight difference here though - whilst @Titanite is added to the ticket, he doesn't middleman the transaction, he doesn't take a % for having it listed, he doesn't comply with Sythe rules etc.
I'm sure if he did MM each and every trade (like name sellers do by transferring the name ensuring it doesn't get sniped), did take a % of each and every listing and complied with Sythe rules (users cant advertise they are selling/buying GP whilst actively advertising in his discord) then I assume he would be allowed to do so - Or, atleast that is the precedence that is currently set from the previous sythe reports and current name situation.
I assume the same would also go for accounts, items etc.
As @xKylee mentioned, it would depend on @Titanite 's business model. If he only brings two people together to trade, it's open-trading. If those people would not meet with each other, and instead Titanite would buy the GP then sell it to the other party himself, it would be fine.
I Live To Die Another Day
Since when is a trading server defined by that by Sythe rules above^, it seems this was made up recently based upon nothing that I know of
Maybe change the rules then or something if you don't agree? Currently their business model does appear to be a breach of what the rules state, also ElDorado and Playerauctions do the exact same that you are describing as ok yet were banned from posting here on Sythe completely and are still banned from posting,
This is a great point, ill use some of the replies from others to give an example, a few people have said "Small name sellers can do this too" "offer better customer service" "do cheaper prices" So what im hearing is im allowed to do this, and ill do it for 0 comission as it will bring more traffic to me since its free, a question was asked "Commonsense, why would you do something if you aren't making any money, and the excuse here can be, by offering a free service no commission im building up more clients, and im sure if I did this id get shut down so fast..
You're right, my description wasn't complete. I was not trying to define the description of an open-trading server, I was trying to explain why Titanite's server is or isn't open-trading.
I don't know their exact model so I can't tell you if it is or isn't.
On Eldorado and PA the two parties that trade do actually get in contact with each other. In my example of Titanite not being open-trading, he would perform both trades without the other two parties getting in contact with each other. That would currently be allowed. It would be similar to Alex and Achilles server, it would be similar to me listing an account for someone and then paying them once it sells.
As the rule says: ''A trading platform is defined as a Discord/forum/Facebook page/etc with open trading channels where anyone may advertise'', you could argue that Titanite would be advertising on behalf of the seller.
That's fair. As it currently stands, you're free to do so.
I get that this description was for Titanites server but you are clearly trying to explain the basis of what makes a trading server or not, so I let you know that its not in accordance with the sythe rules because that states what a trading server is according to the rules and its none of the stuff your describing to defend him
Was talking about achilles+alex's stuff, as it stands it is against the sythe rules, so im suggesting adding a clause to the rule or changing it a bit is a good way to go if staff decide to allow it
Titanite's server seems fine as its not advertised on Sythe, but currently anyone can list their names with alex + achilles as long as they have a rare name and it isn't recently sniped. They have a bunch of guidelines up to prevent market manipulation and stuff and thats good but as it stands anyone can advertise their name there. Also I believe in Alex's they do get in contact with each other in tickets just as well like PA/elDorado does as they need to swap the name over and have both parties in accordance. So I don't see what the difference is between what they are doing and PA/ElDorado do. But even if they don't the rule needs to be addressed because it clearly states differently
You also use Eldorado to get in contact with sellers, same as in Alex's servers buyers USE Alex's server to get in contact with sellers, how is this any different? You can say its because they Middleman/Swap the name, but this isn't mentioned in the rules and should be if this should be allowed, make it clear
A Discord with closed trading channels where only the owner of the Discord or their workers may advertise is permitted.
The people advertising names their are not their workers, despite it being "closed" anyone with a rare name can get their name there for the most part obviously with exceptions of sniped names or ongoing scammers listing their names there. I am just suggesting a rule change if you want to allow this for it to make sense, or even just adding to it
EDIT: I do hear they get added to a ticket but the buyer/seller can't see what eachother type or something like that so maybe add something like its a trading server if buyer and seller interact and you provide a way they can or something
False.. i created there bot.. when a name is offered for sale the buyer/seller do NOT know each other / have any contact. two tickets are created one with seller + admins and one with buyer + admins..
Fair thanks for the info this helps, I think more clarification on the rules is needed if this were to be allowed, "as long as buyer/seller don't have contact its not a trading server" or something because with how the rules are written now it appears to be in breach despite how the bot was written.
The problem with what you said despite being a fair point in other circumstances is that other users have been banned for this exact thing. Currently banned websites from Sythe like Playerauctions and Eldorado do this, and they do get cuts for listing their stuff for others on their website Just like Alex does. These sites also DIRECTLY Middlemanned just like Alex and Achilles do, as they receive the payment for the product first, then pay the seller once completed, so how is this any different? If this was the precedence set by Sythe rulings, its simply incorrect based on previous rulings and needs to obviously be adjusted
@Zora just talked to people that use ElDorado/Playeractions and you aren't explaining fully what they do and why its a problem with what is being done here. Sellers do have contact with them but ONLY via the website itself SIMILAR how Alex+Achilles do it but the difference is the sellers get in contact but through Alex/Achilles's server and thats how the name process occurs but its really no different as you never know or directly interact with eachother, Its through a median for Pa/eldorado its the website, in alex's case its through them in separate tickets yet same server, as explained by @Titanite above. You also don't get the buyers/sellers contact info at all just like Alex's. The only difference is being via a website and not Discord and that they are not allowed to give direct contact info to buyers through the website without being fined. @Toxic can vouch cuz he wanted info to one of the sellers but was denied. Sellers on these websites only know the buyer's RSN's which would be the exact same with RSN sales/Alex's Server as you can see previous names of RSN's on RS. Buyer's only know what the sellers alias is and not their contact.
So my point is, what difference is there? Rules need to be changed or we should let ElDorado/Playerauctions back? We can't just pick and choose who we like
EDIT: Clarified a little bit
