Should I play WoW

many more but I have to go. Is it worth picking up these days? I love endgame pvp but only with good groups and I usually like risking and I hear there isn't any here.

 

World of Warcraft is the best game ever in my opinion although, you get addicted very fast to it. I think that just as an example let's take Runescape, People were hating on updates when they came usually because people said they all were shit, here people are actually excited for them.

 

I've heard a mass of complaints about PvP both endgame and pre-cap.

 

It's a matter of personal opinion but WoW is unlike anything else. When it came out it revolutionized the standard for what makes a successful MMORPG, previously set by Everquest and perhaps UO before that. Lots of other games have tried to copy WoW but they always end up dropping massive chunks of subs before going F2P (see SWTOR, Rift, Aion, and many others.)

It's worth trying in my opinion. One of the best times to play for a newbie.

 

I started playing recently and I love it. And you can try it free up to level 20, and level up to 70 practically free by buying Battlechest (which comes with 1 month gametime) for about 5 dollars.

 

Battle Chest includes Wrath of the Lich King now, so it'd be 80.

 

What's the point in getting level 80 for free if you don't know how to play though?

Okay. You learn the game BY leveling. That's how playing games works. You start off being bad at them, play, get a sense of whether or not you like them, and then you get better by playing more.

 

That may have come out wrong . I don't play WoW, so I confess I'm not certain, but I thought they had a system where new players can get level 80 instantly?

 

No, that's exclusively part of the Scroll of Resurrection program, whereby veteran players that have not played in a very long time can return to the game and get a free level 80 of their choice, to get caught up to the latest content.

 

Ah, well, I got an email from them (I tried te game in like 2009, got to level 7 an gave up) about it and I just thought it would be stupid to be 80 instantly in a game I had no clue how to play lol.

 

i only played wow for arena's, anything away from that was just boring

 

The level cap is 90. With Cataclysm they made all leveling pre-85 completely trivial. The free 80 is a decent carrot to get people back into the game - but they'll still get demolished in Pandaria if they have no idea what they're doing.

 

Well I decided to play. I'm like 40 atm because my RaF irl buddy's laptop broke, going to DK tank when I can.

 

if you decide to start playing again i have a mists of panderia account with some 80s and an 85 on it. Id sell for $20. youd just have to pay for membership and it would be good to go with the latest expansion on it. It's all up to you if you play or not

 

I have tried it and it's boring for me.
