Successes and Failures as a Noob

Tell us about something that was exceptional or good that happened to you as a RS noob.

Tell us about something that was awful or bad that happened to you as a RS noob.

I'll start:

Bad:
I had only recently begun playing and just got full bronze. I figured this meant it was time to explore. 15 minutes later and I've found (and become lost in) the wilderness. A mob of full blue wizzy mages help me find my way back to Lumbridge.

Good:
I had many friends who helped me learn to play RS as a noob. Without those friends I would've had a very different experience.

Bad
Back in 2008 saved up enough money for full rune T (without the plate) thought i was a boss killing hill giants and shit, ended up falling for trust trade game, traded my kite he gave it back ended up trading the rest of my items and he logged off with all of his friends, felt horrible and sad for 2 days straight.

Good
Won 1.8B~ back in 2012 through dicing best highlight of my RS history went to clan wars with friends helped out them by just giving money felt amazing

 

Bad: My real life friend told me RS3 had come out and sent me a link to a shady website. Me being a kid at the time didn't think it through, entered in my main's details and soon got hacked.

Good: I started playing RS again in 2012 and changed from being a grinder (killing green drags, running law runes, etc) into a clever staker/lurer who made 2b+ over a 2 month period.

 

Back when I first started playing RS and I got ancients/ice burst I thought I was the shit. I was a lot younger and had noooooo clue at the time what hybridding was. I got invited by a friend who was a PKer and I guess all that time he thought I was moderately knowledgeable. He took me to Easts (and me being an idiot I brought literally all of my runes lol) and I died in probably 5 seconds.

 

I fell for one scam in all my rs career and it was when I first started playing in 2005. I was selling my full yellow mystic I had saved up for for awhile, it was going for 700k at the time. I was eager to sell and buy some new items so I spam clicked through second screen and hadnt noticed the guy had switched 700k into 70k. GG bank
