Just take a picture of the background of a thread, and paste it into PS or any program you use. Crop out a little portion of the thread background and delete everything else. Put an eye-dropper tool on the little tile of dark blue background from the thread and just copy the color and make the background of your canvas the color of the thread background..
EDIT: Or you can just put (if you have Photoshop) the background the checkerboard. So just don't change the background when you press "New" and if it's white, just right click the layer and delete it.

Also. The layout of your thread looks a little simple/plain. Shake it up a bit and throw in some more GFX just don't OVER do it.. Cause it won't look as good. So just add a little more and make the text not all the same. Make it to were some texts are the colors of the skills Ex. Cooking = Purpleish.

    Hope this helped! :)

EDIT: PS. I don't get what you mean by "Pm me, I won't read it." I typed this up any ways for other people if they need to know.
