Subwoofer, cap and amp

I'm not sure if this is the right forum or not for this but I couldn't see anywhere else. Does anyone have a guide or something to install subs with a capacitor and amps? I know the amp and sub but I'm not sure about the capacitor, I've looked on google but a lot of that shit's confusing

 

You really don't need a capacitor unless you have 2 amps, like 4000 watts each. The battery can handle a good amount.

If you really do need it (if I recall correctly) just run the gauge wire thats coming from the battery to the positive side of the capacitor. Then run some gauge wire from the negative part of the capacitor to the chassis of the car (wherever your ground is for the amp should be fine).
Then your going to want to run the gauge wire from the negative side to the capacitor to the 12V positive (not REM) to the amp.

I'd look up some videos just to be sure.

 

I have. But with just the battery might lights dim a bit, I don't really like that. I'll maybe try a cap.
