Sub-forums showing on forum home.

Props to mattuw for inspiring me to make this suggestion.

Basically, the sub-forums would show on forum home. Simple VB template editing will suffice (it takes 5 minutes, if you haven't done it before, and less than 2 if you know how to do it).

The problem is that subforums have less posts that parent forums and this would not only abuse vertical scrolling space more than vBulletin already does, but would give newcomers a "yuck, unused forum" kind-of feeling.

Unfortunately Sythe won't let me merge programming into a single forum either that would improve the perception of activity as well.

 

I don't really agree with this. There are eight sub-forums in Runescape Markets alone. Within these include a total of twenty-seven total sub-forums and sub-sub-forums. That's a very large blob of text, all underneath Runescape Markets. I agree with SMR: vBulletin really is pretty vertically-expensive. We don't need to make things even longer by including a list of the hundred (or so) sub forums on the main page.

Yes, the first two forums look nice and organized. However, the Support forum looks pretty disgusting, imo.

 

I hate that with a passion. Its disgusting.
