If you're born deaf, what language do you think in? Holy crap when u think about it, its so sad!!! Well I think that they try to communicate by writing mostly!

 

its called sign language

A Blind man that was born blind won't see therefore he won't have a perception of seing, he won't have any idea. Therefore he can't "see" in his dreams because he cannot see in first place. He won't know what it is to see

The word mindfucked it amazing.....anyways you do think in a language. That's how you learn

 

dreams are not only visual in nature, its an amalgamation of one's senses. hence, if a blind person dreams, she/he might feel, touch, hear or smell the virtual reality that is called dream.

Unless you're deaf your example means nothing. If they were BORN deaf, they've never heard what English or any other language for that matter sound like.. and therefore have no perception of how to say it in their mind.

Also, our brain calculates at something like 500 trillion calculations per second, I rarely find myself actually thinking in words.. most of the time I can just connect things together without literally spelling it out in my mind.

also, this is easier if you know that we do think in images before we have learned a primary language. from there, our primary way of thinking heavily involves your language



now as for blind ppl dreaming
why do they need to see??

why would their dream need to include visuals?
would it not be fair to expect them to dream as blind ppl, using the same instincts they need to in real life to make sense of their dreams.

 

They wouldn't think in any language, linguistics is just an interpretation, the mind can use other ways to send messages.
