    Stressed about college?

So, i've now been in college for about 2 months. First month and a half, everything was going fine. I got decent grades (3.3 at midterms), started working out, was branching out a bit more socially, and I was happy.

Now, last week, I took a math exam which i was totally unprepared for, and i bombed it. I tried studying, but i just couldn't memorize all the formulas and how to do everything. I got a 38% on it.
My class is graded like: 76% Exams, 24% Quizzes
    First exam I got a 90%
    Second exam I got a 38%
Quiz average right now is a 76%
Overall I have a 67%, D. And i have an academic scholarship i need to maintain a 3.0 to keep.

This put me in such a bad mood. Now I have a paper due in 3 hours which i'm struggling with, another paper due tuesday, two math quizzes wednesday..

I'm going home this weekend as well for my 18th birthday, and before, I was so happy to go home and see everyone. Now i'm just like emotionless about it and could care less.

What are some things that can temporarily get me through this? I know it's not depression (although, i was diagnosed with depression a few years ago, and it's still there somewhat)

It happens to me every year. I think "I'll knuckle down, stay organised and do well".

Honestly the best thing I can suggest is a study/coursework timetable. Get everything done when you get in from college then relax - don't let everything build up, read your notes regularly and ask about anything you're struggling with.

The only solution for your immediate situation is to get your head down, get it all out the way and don't let it happen again - tough but true.

everyone has a different way of studying. For example when I study I like working things out rather than reading. I also learn theory by organising the key information I need in a document or my own hand writing which is better because I remember easier by reading my hand writing than the text on a 500 page book.

Perhaps find someone you can study with. It really comes down to forgetting your previous mark and putting that negative energy into something productive by saying "it won't happen again" and prove it to yourself.

College is hard, but it is what you make of it. Go home proud knowing you've learned your lesson by not being prepared and you've changed your attitude.

You really need to manage your time. That is the single hardest thing to do. Write everything down ahead of time and plan your studying. If you do things properly and well you shouldn't have to cram too much... That being said youre in college and just like I try to plan ahead and stay organized, my weekends usually end up being a shit show and I wake up Sunday afternoon saying "wow I have so much work I have to do and realistically need to stay up for 3 days straight to get it all done"

    Plan, Stay Organized, Don't Procrastinate!

i've been at University for a few months now and I felt out my depth at first, I know you are saying you 'can't' study, but sadly you just need to buckle down and do it. For university last year I needed AAA to get into my chosen module and was always one of those people who studied the night before, but with 3 months of hard work I ended up with 4 As and got in no problem.

My advice - annoy the hell out of the teachers - I mean, ask them loads whenever you get stuck until YOU understand it, forget about the rest of the class calling you stupid etc. Go to them after school if you need to, during lunch, before school. If they see you are making an effort and are keen, they will help much more.

This is another huge tip! The teachers are there to teach you! Ask them everything until you understand!
