    Stinky breath

I was just wondering if anyone else is plagued by this same phenomena as me - stinky breath.

I do have acid reflux, so I know that contributes to the problem. But, even after being on medication, it still stinks.

I brush my teeth 2-4 times a day, and follow it up with listerine. Within 2 hours, it's stinking up again.

When I wake up - before I have a chance to do any of that, my breath could probably knock a buzzard off a shit wagon.

The only solutions I've managed to find are coffee, gum, and cigarettes.

    Anyone else have this issue?

Most of it comes from the back of your tongue, have you bought those little scraper things before that you brush your tongue with?

Uhm, describe this scraper or a pic link please? I would be delighted to remedy this, and I'm sure my girlfriend would be even more so.

Had the same problem before as well.

The combination of Listerine, flossing, and brushing seems to work well. Next time you go to the mirror, stick out your tongue. If you see white spots on it, that is your problem. You need to scrap that off with a tooth brush or floss (though a tongue scraper would work the best).

If you don't have the time to spend 2-3 minutes scraping every day, there are some dedicated anti-bad-breath mouthwashes sold at Walmart. They taste pretty bad (a little like hydrogen peroxide) but they seem to work wonders with breath.

Oh, and smoking only makes breath worse.

I use listerine, floss, and I brush. They're not exactly white spots.. Just not pink they are a color ranging between white and yellow. Nonetheless, I plan on hitting up my local Walmart for this scraper doohicky.

I only get stinky breath when I first wake up, other than that... Toothpaste & a toothbrush do the trick, along with their right hand man, mouthwash.

    Stinky breath

I've found that I get bad breath only when I don't drink enough water. Stop by a water fountain between classes and take a big swig -- rinse it around if you want. You'd be surprised at how much water can kill bacteria.

Don't use anything but water, because the sugar that's in it (even if it's a "diet" sugar like aspartame) will just be food for the bacteria. Soda, gatorade, even milk can cause bad breath.

Be careful with how much you brush mate, too much brushing can actually hurt the teeth.
