    Donations to Syria

    Charity Registration No. 1145862

Hand in Hand for Syria is a registered charity established at the start of the Syrian uprising. We are a non-political organisation funded by public donations that provides medical and humanitarian aid to civilians. We are one of the few charities able to reach people both inside Syria and refugees.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

I mean its awesome you set up your own charity as I researched it a little bit by doing a Google search on your charity number but no offense I don't really feel safe giving you the money there are more well trusted companies out there. But its still awesome what you are doing, not sure if it is allowed tho.

Guys Justgiving is simply a site that people set up a networking page to donate to their chosen charity. This member is simply advertising their page to raise money for this charity and is not something he has personal involvement in.

If he was involved with this charity he would NOT be going directly through a charity support site as they take a cut of each donation made. Charities only use this site as a base for singular fundraising ventures by personal attempts.

Note to thread owner, people that create pages on justgiving are doing a fundraising event for the charity such as a sponsored run, walk, drive... It is a place to collect sponsors electronically rather than just throwing about an empty page in hope somebody will give money to the site to take a cut before they deliver the "charity money". I think you should perhaps think of giving people something to donate to before advertising.

It happens all the time. There are thousands and thousands of scam charities that set up, and unless that site audits every charity on their site to constantly make sure they're legit then they're probably lots of scams on there.

    Interesting, i can only imagine.

I set up a charity with a friend a number of years back for Ehlors Donlos syndrone sufferers, the rigmarole of setting it up was just backbreaking. It cost me hundreds of pounds in legal fees and paper work etc.... I can't imagine anybody wanting to make profit off charity but i suppose there are people like that in the world....
