Real Life Party Hats!

Ok guys so my girlfriend recently got a sewing machine and I asked her if she could make a simple design. I always thought that partyhats were very very simple for how rare/expensive they were (I know it's because they came out with the 8-bit graphics RS classic, haha) but I always knew it wouldn't be difficult to make an IRL version for the everyday RS fan. I have posted pictures of two that she made below, if you don't mind letting me know which one you think is better and I will share my opinion AFTER I get some response so that I do not persuade you one way or the other. ENJOY

 

How long did it take her to make one?

Took about 2 hours total for both hats. We had to figure out the design and the yellow one was fleece so it was super thick, almost too thick for her machine so it took a bit of finesse to get to work.

 

yeah, i can see the different from yellow party hat and red hats but she did good job! i will make one in one day! its look really good!

The red one looks more Runescape-ish, the first one looks more like a kings crown from a lot of things .

They're both sick, but I like the red one more!

OK, I'm allowed to let my opinion come forth now, I FREAKING LOVE THE YELLOW ONE, it just looks like the most comfortable thing you will ever wear doesn't it? Although the red one looks a bit more runescape-ish, in light of the ability to take a creative license and also the fact that these have to be worn by humans and humans like comfort, I think we will stick with the fleece material from now on.

Again, thanks for the compliments guys, really means a lot. I told her that she did amazing and they honestly they turned out even better than I had pictured in my head, but she's super excited now after reading all of your responses.

Haha, she told me I should ask how much would be appropriate IF she decided to sell some. She just got her machine and already want's to start a business, haha, what you guys think? I sure as hell don't know anything about what stuff like that (would it categorize as a plushy?) would go for.

HAHA, billybobdead, let's take this one step at a time, (although I won't lie and say I haven't thought about it). It will be awhile before we try anything else, I'd rather get really good at making the phats first, haha. Maybe even start selling some if there is enough interest.

Idk what to even ask for it, how much is fair for an IRL party hat, hmmmmmmmmmmmmit is yellow so I guess I can settle for around $500

Hmmm, that's very tempting but my girlfriend is asleep now and I wouldn't dare promise anything she made without talking with her, haha. BUT, I like the interest, it's more than I thought it would be, I will have to weigh it to see how much the US postal service is gona rape me, and I will decide on a price. Keep me in mind though Brbfarmrun, I will most likely have an answer and a price set tomorrow after I talk with her and add up costs, time, shipping costs, etc..........lol
