Diablo 3 Release Date speculation thread

Not much information on Diablo 3 has come out since the release of the beta, which hasn't really changed much since it's induction. So, lets start a speculation thread!

Firstly, Bestbuy seem to be predicting a February release (they spelt February wrong, lol).

However, Blizzard responded by saying that any release dates posted by retail shops are merely guessing.

So, could we actually be looking at a February release?

It's not uncommon for Blizzard to announce the release date for a game just weeks prior to it's release. This happened with Cataclysm and WoTLK.

 

I highly doubt it, its just marketing for Bestbuy.

 

We all know that if the release date for a blizzard game is set, the game will most probably be released a few years after that.

 

When did that happen before? They never set dates if unsure.
Unlike Duke Nukem Forever, lol.

 

this is old, amazon has a new release date im pretty sure.

 

It was originally supposed to be released sometime around april (The second quarter of the year), but I read a few articles about how they are still making big changes to the game, which leads me to believe it probably won't be released until the fall during the holiday season.

 

Here's another theory, which I believe.

They want to simultaneously release the game in Korea, but the whole online auction thing has got them into legal "trouble" or I guess hassle there, and they have to resolve it before they can release it.

I'm absolutely tired of Blizzard setting random release dates and then moving it. The game was originally supposed to be released in 2010, then 2011, then 2012. I wouldn't be surprised if it dragged to 2013.

My retailer store put a date 30.6.2012, and with the last conference call saying that the game will be released in Q2, this actually seems to be very good date. Also this date was set weeks before the call.

 

My guess is June.

 

I know the announcement will be made 7march on the GDC when blizz has a keynote there..

when i finished the beta it looked like they had a significant amount of stuff they needed to accomplish. but i think they should have an idea by march 7th
