I'm just wondering what proper X's to give in stakes....

say I have a 60% chance to win and my opponent was aware of that and wanted me to X them what would it need to be in order for a 50/50 fight?

I've been trying to calculate that myself but I'm finding it quite tricky. I would theoretically win 60 out of 100 stakes and my opponent would only win 40.. That's a difference of 20 stakes that are guaranteed to be my victory. 100/20=5 so 1 in every 5 stakes is a guaranteed win which would mean a 1.2x right?

If I am incorrect please give me a proper method for these calculations.

    thank you...

I don't think there is a proper calculation. just add how much you think you should add. In your case extra 200-400k per Mil sounds right.

If you think its your 60% odds it means its there 40%. Which in decimal means you have 1.5x chance of winning.

I don't know how you've come to the conclusion that its 60/40 but if it is and you wanted to make it 50/50 fights, a 1.5x would be necessary.

However, If it is your 60% odds, then you don't want to be 1.5xing to make it 50/50, try get away with a 1.2/1.3x so it's still your odds.

Okay, I will try do this as simply as possible.

    If it is 60/40

You SHOULD win 60 out of 100 fights and you SHOULD loose 40/100 fights.

    So:

    Win: 60
    Loose: 40

To find a 'perfect x' you would divide the winning percentage by the loosing percentage giving you the 'x'

    Win/Loose
    60/40
    1.5x

But unless you do 100000's of fights you will never know the true percentage

this is a pointless argument, since u cant calc the proper odds, and if u could, u would probably be smart enough to calc the x too, lol

There are staking simulators that are accurate.. Since I use one and have made bils from it I can attest to this
