Ranger with defence?

Hey,

I started this account intending to make a range only pure, but I then decide to throw in prayer and defence. I levelled my defence to 10, to wear slayer helmet, and wonder what levels I should get in prayer/defence from now on.

I could just end up making a range tank out of this but I am not sure yet, tell me what you think!

Stats:

 

range tank should consist of no magic but since your attack and str is lvl 1 I would say go ahead!

 

If you have money, long chin range till 70 - 75 defence, get 90 + range always splash before you go to bed, then burst out 94 mage quest the account after get full void, and you'll be set for pking
Also you can train slayer with range and imbued slayer helm, use blow pipe + karil's and you'll get almost same exp as with melee.

 

It is almost an essential for any account over 40 def to get 94 magic for vengeance if you fight 1v1.

 

Not true, most maxed range tanks have vengeance which requires 94 magic.

 

Watchu talking about fool? You forgot what you unlock at 94 magic?
One of the best account builds you can have sculpt is a range tank. I would highly consider 99 range, 94 magic, and 52 prayer. Don't forget about void :nuts:

 

Yeah, I like range tanks. You should aim for 99 range, 99 magic and 75/99 defence in the long run

 

Get 42 def for void and also for black d hide body, these both make training a lot easier and no defense level between 10 and 40 would really be beneficial for the extra combat levels you'd be getting.

 

I agree with rdya make it into a void pure. You can maybe even Dbow rush later once you get really high range.

 

94 magic void would be op and fun

 

Get 70 def, 99 Range, and 94 Mage

 

42 def void pure

 

I would stay 26 prayer until you get 80+range and 60+def
