Monkey Madness and pures

Does anyone have a knowledgable answer. I am stumped on one thing and thats the defence part of my pure that im making which is a zerker. Im looking at different zerk guides and im told not to go back to the island because of the defence xp but then im told i have to take the defence xp from dairo because of the recipe disaster quest when i gotta go back. Im not ready to be a zerk yet i still got a lot to get done im doing my quest requirements first im almost done with them and then its just a matter of doing all the quests for a 1 def pure and working on strength and finishing up my mage which is 85 right now. And then ill go back and finish up the rest of the quests when im ready to convert.

what's your question exactly? if you want to do RFD you will have to take the XP

 

If you want to go back to the island or do the RFD party you will have to take the def XP.

Monkey Madness One: If you want to stay one Defence and use a Dragon Scimitar you complete this quest, what you don't do is go to the second floor of The Grand Tree after the quest for the extra training. The extra training is done through the NPC up there, and it will give you Defence XP. Once you complete the quest, do not do this training, Defence has no option to not be gained.

If you want to stay one Defence and still chin/ice burst, START monkey madness until the dungeon then don't continue the quest.
If you want to quest into a Zerker, you must complete this training. Do NOT select the the Defence/Attack option.

Pick Strength & Hitpoints for minimal DEF gain.
